Raisin Boat Monthly Challenge

Good Morning!  Happy Saturday!  It's the 15th of the month (already!) so that means there's a new challenge at Raisin Boat this month.  This one is brought to you by our leader, Linda.  Fabulous choice, too.  What is it, you ask?  Well, this month we're making it....

3D!!

Yep, 3D cards, gifts, scrapbook pages - whatever your little heart desires.  I made a card featuring the newest release Howl-ween Hounds.  Available for purchase or rent now!

This was fun to make - a little challenging, but that's why we do this.  I stamped the focal image first on Brighton White card stock and then cut it out with a circle cutter.  I don't own any circle dies, I'm still using the circle template cutters by Creative Memories.  They work for me.  So I don't have the ease of inking using the die as a stencil.  I have to create my own.  It's a little off, but hey, I'm a little off so we're a good match!  LOL  So to ink it, I create my own stencil with some scrap card stock and then created a mask with a sticky note to cover the focal image and then inked.  I then stamped the dog a second time and fussy cut him out so I could pop him up.  My other 3D element is the embossing.  Easy!

Here's a side view, the dog is on dimensionals and then the whole main image is.  I didn't go over the top 3D but I am still pleased with the results.  Be sure to check out what the rest of the team made and join us for the challenge.  You have a whole month to do it and there's a Raisin Boat stamp set up for grabs.  Click here for the Raisin Boat blog.

Great project Melissa! Love the stamp sets. Did you see that this month we are accepting any stamp but if they use Raisin Boat they get two entries? Please spread the word.
Thanks for all that you do,
Hugs,

You were pretty resourceful, making that template so you could ink the circle. Love your card! That dog looks so sweet. Did you use someone's sketch for this, or is it your own? It's a great one!
