Tuesday Morning Sketches #148

Good Morning!  Happy Tuesday!  We're playing with a fabulous sketch that was drawn by Kathy and we're sponsored by Meljen's Designs.

My card features an adorable image by Meljen's called Tulip Buggies....

This card was so much fun to create - the colors are summery and then I decided I needed it to shimmer, too.

I haven't thought of this technique in a long time.  But after I colored the image I covered it with embossing ink and Iridescent Ice embossing powder.  I love this look!

Head on over to play along with us.  And there's still time to apply to the Design Team.  I'm not allowed to post it on Splitcoast Stampers, so I'd appreciate it if you spread the word that we're looking for a few new members.

My card is created based on a sketch by the Deconstructed Sketch and it was perfect to keep this card pretty clean and simple.  I plan on sending this one to my nephew who graduates in a couple of weeks.

Just playing around....

Happy Holiday weekend everyone!  I hope you're all doing well.  Yesterday we had a cookout at a friends house and today has been spent just lounging around and doing whatever we felt like doing.  So what I felt like doing was playing with the stamps that arrived from Sweet n Sassy.  I won a prize during their birthday month, so I needed to play.....

I've been trying to make myself use some of the card kits that I have stocked up, this paper and embellishments were from one of those kits.  I wasn't crazy about the images, but I LOVED everything else in it.

My card is also using the fab sketch from The Sweet Stop.

I loved the embellishment that was included in this kit, the warm tiger's eye was perfect with this kit.  The maker did it right!  I am pleased with how this card turned out.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Flowers in Bloom (SNSS)
Card base:  Chocolate Chip (SU), Mud Pie (Raisin Boat)
Tools:  Beaded Circle dies (Spellbinders)

This week's MTME Pretty Pattern is posted and there are some fantastic samples to draw inspiration from.

I just love my card.  The bright colors of the Rich Razzelberry card stock and the Berry Blast digi paper are just so happy!  My focal point is a sentiment from the My Little Friend digi stamp set and then I stamped with the Petal Perfection stamps to create the piece behind it.  This was a super easy card to create and I am happy with the results.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #147

Good Morning!  I hope your Monday went well.  I'm just glad it's over because now it's Tuesday and we have a fun sketch and a great sponsor at TMS.  This week's challenge is sponsored by Clear Dollar Stamps.

So head on over to TMS for the sketch, but here's the card I created with it featuring an adorable little duck by artist Deedee Anderson.

I had a lot of fun creating this card.  I have participated in card kit swaps in SCS and I found this paper in one of the kits.  The images I lost, but I loved the paper and the tea cups.  Perfect for a get well card and the colors can either be feminine or masculine.

I created the flower by using a die from Cuttlebug for a scalloped flower.  I then cut it in a spiral and then rolled it into the flower.  I LOVE it!

See you over at TMS!

Paper Pretties Monday

Good Morning!  I hope you all had a great weekend.  My Saturday was full of running kids around and grocery shopping.  The usual.

This week's challenge at Paper Pretties is YOUR SCHOOL COLORS.  How fun is this!  I went to North High School in Denver.  So did my sisters and my mom.  Our school's colors was Purple and Gold.

This card features the newest image by ARTish - this is Cis.  Look at that face!  You can't help but smile.  I'm not crazy about my card - my creativity wasn't flowing.  I was dealing with a nagging headache most of the day Sunday and it shows in my card.

Have a fantastic Monday and I hope you join us this week.

Delightful Challenge

Hi everyone!  Happy Thursday.  I hope you're doing well.  I had a little bit of a rough week, but life will go on.

This week's challenge at Digital Delights is a super easy one.... Add Ribbon!  That's only 97% of all cards created by us papercrafters!   Whoo-hoo!!

So here's what I created featuring Tea Time for Booboo.

I went with a fun color combination and someday, I will learn how to photograph purple and when that day comes - you'll see it's not black or blue!  LOL  And most people put orange and purple together only at Halloween, but I am here to prove it's not just for Halloween anymore.

I also used a great sketch from Sketches by Carly.  What a talented young lady!

Supplies:

Card stock: Neenah Classic Crest, Black, Orange (Bazzil), Lavender Lace (SU!)

Tuesday Morning Sketches #146

Good Morning!  We're here - it's another Tuesday and we have a sketch that I hope you're going to enjoy.  The team has created such a wide spectrum of cards so you're sure to have some inspiration to your creativity.

Our challenge this week is sponsored by DRS Designs and I want to say thanks for providing us some awesome stamps to play with.  My card features Irish Friendship Greeting (348H) and Three Butterflies (744F).

I have always admired cards that have those cool backgrounds that have been spritzed with that stuff that I don't know what it's called.  I created my own using Distress Ink and water on my Stamp-a-jig plastic sheet.  Then I just hit my card stock onto the plastic to pick up the ink.  I loved the effect!

I also made my own flowers using an .svg from My Time Made Easy.  I am so happy with card.  I hope you like it, too.

Supplies:
Stamps: Irish Friendship Greeting (348H), Three Butterflies (744F) (DRS Designs), Live Love, Laugh (Raisin Boat)
Ink: Pear Tart (Memento), Tea Dye & Walnut Stain Distress Inks (Ranger)
Tools: Cricut, Branch svg, Spiral Daisy svg (MTME), corner rounder (SU!), watercolor brush
Card stock: Mud Pie (Raisin Boat), Pumpkin Pie (SU!), Summer Sunrise (PTI)

Paper Pretties Monday

Good Morning!  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  I know I did - it still wasn't long enough, but better than the last couple of weekends.

Anyway - I've got a super sweet card to share with you for this week's Paper Pretties challenge.  This week, we're sparkling.  Glitter it up, baby!

And what better way to do it than with a new image from our favorite artist ARTish.  This newest sweetheart is Catisha and she is ready to fly!

I absolutely love glitter paper - having this in stash made it so easy to put this card together.  As well as the sketch from The Sweet Stop.  Loved playing with these polka dots that I created by punching out different sizes of circles.  Here's a close up of Catisha so that you can see the glitter on her beautiful wings.

I hope you enjoy my simple card!  I love how it turned out.  The colors are so happy and she's one cat that has one my heart.

Supplies:
Image:  Catisha
Card stock:  Neenah Classic Crest, Lavender Lace

Hi!  Thanks for coming back.  It's Release day at Delightful Digis by Louby Loo.  And this time we're headed West.

I have to tell you, when Wendy assigned me this digi image, I thought "uh-oh!  What am I going to do with her?!"  But I LOVE how my card turned out.  Introducing Lil Dixie....

I found the cutest cowboy boot at SVG cuts.  But then I remembered that not only am I featuing a new image, but we have a challenge.  Distressing!  So I wasn't sure how I'd scuff up the boot, so instead I created the distressed background using the Distressed Stripes embossing folder.  Then I added a sentiment and viola! Hi Everyone!  Happy Wednesday.  I hope your week is going well.  Mine is going pretty well - a little slow but maybe is was because my weekend was so quick.

I decided to squeeze in a little stamping time so I could play along with some favorite challenges.  First up is it's CAS-ual Fridays 1st birthday so we're to create a CAS birthday card.  Then There She Goes has an inspiration photo - I went with the colors.  And, of course, I have to play along with my favorite sketch challenge (besides TMS) The Sweet Stop.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.  I love orange, it's like yellow, you can't help but feel happy with this color.

This card is a 4 1/4 square card which is a nice sized card to add in a gift bag or on top of a gift wrapped box.  My card features stamps from Raisin Boat - the set is called Bloom, it contains some beautiful flowers and lovely sentiments.  I love the font of the words in this sent - its like perfect penmanship.

Paper Pretties Monday

Good Morning!  The weekend went by way too fast, don't you agree?  My Saturday was so full but what really hurt was that I had to be away from home most of the day while my apartment was fumigated.  Seems my apartment is being overrun by palmetto bugs.  Eeeuuuuwww!!!

So this week at Paper Pretties ARTish has a couple of new digi sets releasing and I used one of them Catarina.  The challenge is to add ribbon.  Catarina is already playing in it.....

She's such a cute, crafty cat.  I had help with this card from I Spy Sketches.  This is a new {to me} challenge blog and I think most of the Trendsetters from TSG are on this team.  LOL  Loved this CAS sketch.

Delightful Challenge

** Please scroll down for the MTME Pretty Patterns post **

Hi all,

Thanks for coming back.  This week at Delightful Challenges we are making Mother's Day cards/projects.  What a wonderful person to celebrate - without them, we wouldn't be here.  I love my Mom, she's so cute and funny.  Don't get me wrong, we've had our challenges, but I have a lot of respect for my Mom.  She did what she had to do to survive as a single mom of 3 babies, she put herself through nursing school and she bought our first home.  She is a strong woman even if she doesn't want to be.

So to celebrate Mom's, we are making that your challenge.  I am celebrating for a new Mom, my co-worker had her baby girl a few days ago so this is for her...

Isn't it cute?  I treated myself to much coveted embossing folder that EVERBODY else has, so I ordered that, some pop dots and paper organizer.  I'll hate myself when the credit card bill comes, but for now I am loving it!

I did use the sketch from the Sweet Stop - SSS81 to help me with my card.  I am loving the results.

Supplies:
Image: Little Dumpling and Stork
Card stock: Neenah Classic Crest, Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette
Paper: Sugared (Basic Grey)
Copics: C10, E34, E37, RV000, RV10, RV13, W-0, W-2, YR20, YR23
Tools: Cuttlebug, Basket Weave emb folder (SU!), sm oval punch, 5-petal flower punch
Sentiment: Computer generated by me

MTME Pretty Pattern #59

Good Morning everyone!  It's Friday Eve.  Whoo-hoo!!

This week's Pretty Pattern is up and its soooo easy and fun, definitely a good way to wind down the week.

My card features a cutie octopus from the free digi set Water and Waverly Wiggles.  As I said this sketch is easy and works so well for a CAS card.  I used some ribbon pieces to create the background, matted her on some yummy card stock from Raisin Boat and it was done.  Oh, I did print the sentiment directly onto my card base.  Easy!  This is great pattern for using scraps of ribbon or pretty digi paper scraps and it's pretty much flat so it'll mail for $0.44.  Gotta love that!!

Supplies:
Image: Water & Waverly Wiggles
Card stock: Neenah Classic Crest, By the Bay (Raisin Boat)
Copics: BG01, BG10, BV00, BV02, RV000, RV10
Embellishment: assorted ribbons from my stash
