Tuesday Morning Sketches #294

Good Morning!  Happy Tuesday.  Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today.  We have a great sketch for you this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches and we have an awesome sponsor!  For the first time ever, we have an svg cut files sponsor, SVG Attic!

My card features a fun little creature that I picked up on the Silhouette Online store that is actually by their sister company Snapdragon Snippets.  I couldn't not use this little guy - he is so darn cute!

I paired him with some fishy, watery paper and added some heart bubbles.  I love him so much!  Again, thank you so much for stopping by and we'll see you over at TMS.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #293

Good Morning!  Thank you for stopping by.  I am really excited about this week's sponsor at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  Sweet Pea Stamps is sponsoring and this is a new company to me.  WOW!  Some amazing artwork.  I have to admit, some of the images available are very intimidating to me - I'm thinking there is no way that I can make them pretty.  You must go check them out if you haven't already.

My card features Conie Fong's Tori the Dragon - Up.  This little dragon captured my heart, I mean look at those eyes!  I paired it up with another one of those old card kits.  I love this paper, I used to have some in a mat stack by DCWV.  So cute!  Perfect for a little boy's card.

I've got birthdays on my mind - Brendan turned 20 two weeks ago, Levi will be 16 on Friday and Hollyanne will be 17 about 2 weeks after that.  Although mine aren't little anymore, cards for little ones are definitely a favorite to make.  I pulled out old brads, dies I haven't used.  Yes!  I actually used my Cuttlebug and dies and not my Cameo.  Dies are from MFT (circles and banner) and Mama Elephant (bow).

Then to add some sparkle to the balloons, I pulled out the pretty Wink of Stella clear pen.  I thought about putting some glossy accents over that, but I decided to leave it since it matched the paper just like it was.

Thank you for stopping by and looking.  Please leave me a comment so I know you visited.  Have a great day and we'll see you over at TMS.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #292

Good Morning!  Thank you for stopping by.  The new sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and I think it's a fun one, if I say so myself.  Our very own Debbie is sponsoring and she's offering a super fun prize - a set of Spellbinders Dies: Labels Eight.

You know, many years ago I used to participate in a lot of swaps.  One of my favorite types was card kits.  I have probably 100 kits in my closet.  It was definitely time to pull one of those out.  I didn't like the images that came in kit - they were stamped a little crooked and I just couldn't make it work, so I took everything else in the kit, added a couple of my CC Designs stamps and this is what I came up with....  (the photo is bad - it's a dark green card base, not black)

I'm sorry that I am not showing more of that leafy ribbon.  I want some of that!!  I mean more of it.  So pretty!!  I can't tell you about the rest of the supplies since it wasn't included in the kit.  I embossed the background with a clouds embossing folder and then sponged in a little Tumbled Glass distress ink.  It was a quick coloring job, the card stock wasn't great for blending Copics.  Again, I'm not sure what was in the kit.  Overall, it's a cute card.

I hope to see you join us this week.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #291

Good Morning TMS friends.  Thank you for stopping by.  I'm so happy that you came to visit. The new sketch is up for you to play with.  You can flip it, turn it, change out the shapes - we just need to be able to recognize the basic sketch.  You also aren't limited to the number of other challenges you combine with our sketch.

This week's sponsor is my sweet friend Deedee Anderson of Deedee's Digis.  Always the generous sponsor, too.

Here's my card, I am featuring Pocket Pal Teddy and a sentiment I cut using my Silhouette.  The little blue heart is actually what dots the I but it also worked perfectly as an embellishment and let the little pink heart on the pocket be the dot.

My card also features digi paper that is included with this adorable set that is a great value, too!  Only $2.50 (for US shoppers).  This is the pre-colored image, but you get line images, too for your own coloring enjoyment.  My card went together in just a few minutes and I am ready to say hi to a friend or co-worker.

I do hope to see you this week!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #290

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by, I'm glad you're here.  The sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's a fun one by Jenee.  It worked perfectly for my card.  This week's sponsor is DRS Designs Stamps.

My card features Jelly Bean Bunny - he looks like he's eaten a few too many jelly beans.  I used an egg stamp from another company to stamp tone on tone and then hand cut them.  Nice pastel palette to hopefully bring some spring time weather to my in the deep freeze friends.

See you over at TMS.
