Tuesday Morning Sketches #534

Hello!  Thank you so much for stopping by.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and this one is by Debbie.  It's lovely!

My card features dies from Kat Scrappiness and Spellbinders.  I cut the trees using my Silhouette Portrait.  The embossing is Pretty Plaid by FSJ.

I think shaker cards are so pretty but I'm not super fond of the dimension they add.  If you know me, then you now I appreciate cards that will mail with only 1 stamp.  This one is nearly that, but not quite.  I admit it was inspired by a card I found on Pinterest and I adapted it to the sketch.

I cut a panel and blended on Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide ink and using a stamp from a Christmas stamp set from Simon Says stamp I stamped the dots with Unicorn White ink by Hero Arts.  The shaker element is only about 3 card stock depths glued together, if that makes sense.

Please join us at TMS for this week's challenge.  I'm sure you'll love working with this sketch.

This is gorgeous - I love all the white with the beautiful winter scene, and I always love an embossed background, one of my go-to techniques! I need to figure out how to make flatter shaker cards because I ended up paying extra postage for a few of my Christmas cards this year.

Melissa this is a beautiful shaker. I know what you mean about the extra dimension, but I tend to give them to my "special" people who get them hand delivered and not mailed. Not that it helps, but otherwise I have put many of my cards in padded envelopes and paid the fortune to mail them/protect them. Have a Merry Christmas!
