Tuesday Morning Sketches #577

Hello! Thanks for stopping by my blog.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  This is a really simple one with basic elements.  You will only be limited by your imagination!

My card features the June (I think) Mini-Delights stamp/die set from Altenew, dies from Kat Scrappiness and Simon Says Stamp and super cute Winter Delight paper from Echo Park.

I think this card turned out really pretty.  But let's talk about the insanities of this card.  I have actually been thinking about how to get this one out of my head and onto paper.  It really is crazy.  First let's talk about this house.  It's a 2 layer stamp.  I stamped the first part of the house with Soft Pool Ink (Hero Arts).  I then applied the 2nd stamp (roof, door and shutters) onto my MISTI and stamped the image on some Masking Paper by Inkadinkadoo.  Does this stuff not have a long shelf life?  It didn't stick hardly at all!  Anyway, I cut tweenie-weenie masks to get blue roofs and red shutters.  Then proceeded to decorate with teenie-weenie lights using 4 colors of Nuvo Drops.  While those were drying, I got to die cutting.... I used the Kat Scrappiness winter coverplate for the base.  I used the wonky stitched mats for my scene.  I also die out a masking sheet of that, too, cut out the inside so I could mask off the stitching and ink blend on the 2 shades of blue.  I also die cut the trees from another set I have Kat Scrappiness and then finally created snowdrifts using stitched border dies from Simon Says Stamp.

I finished this off with some "snow" on the roof and the trees using white Nuvo Drops.

Then crazy wasn't crazy enough until I got a wisp of smoke coming out of the chimney using a bit of cotton ball.

As I said, I'm pretty pleased with this card.  It really needs a sentiment and I don't have one appropriate.  It needs to say "Home for the Holidays."  I don't have a stamp like that, but rest assured I'll get it on there somehow.

Thanks, again, for stopping by.  Now head on over to the TMS blog.  Leave some love for the team, check out what they made and then join in the fun.
