Tuesday Morning Sketches #581

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by my blog.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's one for one of the hottest trends right now.  Slimline card.  This is the 2nd one we've featured on the blog but I have to admit, I'm still struggling with it.  To be honest, I'm not a fan.

My card features some flower dies and border die from Pink and Main and a sweet sentiment my sister sent me in a goodie box from CTMH.  This is a really simple note card, I like it but I am not a fan of this slimline style.

It's hard to photograph, too!

Anyway, I'll stop complaining.  I cut some squares from a pack of paper that I got in a Simon Says Stamp monthly kit awhile back.  I then die cut the flowers from white cardstock and adhered to squares.  As I said, this is an easy note card with lots of white space.  And I adore the sentiment!

Please join us at the TMS blog - the design team did a way more amazing job with the sketch.

It's a nice cheery card. I haven't decided if I like the slimline or not. I do like being able to just chop an 8.5 x 11" piece of paper in half to get 2 cards bases.

I also find these models very difficult, Melissa. In the end I was satisfied and this one of yours has turned out very beautiful too. Well, of course they remain challenges, good to do something completely different .... Thank you for your kind response to my blog. Love, Wilma xx
