Tuesday Morning Sketches #462

Hello! Thank you for stopping by.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and I hope you love it as much as I do.  My mind went in so many directions with this sketch.  So I decided to make 3 cards with one sketch!  Be sure to scroll down to see the video.

My first card features Brushed Birds by Papertrey Ink, Beautiful Branches by Concord and 9th, a die that I picked up on clearance at CC Designs and I stamped with Distress Inks.

My sister already claimed this card!  I did turn out rather pretty if I say so myself.

This next card features the Small Die of the Month (July) from Spellbinders - this one also has a cupcake in the set but I'm not sure I like it so well.  The sentiment is also from Spellbinders Small Die of the Month (June).  The papers that I used are from Pink and Main and the circle die is from CC Designs.

And my 3rd card features Bitty Blossoms by Sweet n Sassy, scallop die from Pink and Main and inks from Papertrey Ink as well as some various Copics.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

And here's the video.  This one turned out better but it's long.  So I need to get lessons on how to edit my video and then speed it up.  That way I can show you the process without taking up so much time!

I hope to see you at the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog and can't wait to see your card!  Also, please visit the design team.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #461

Hello! Thank you so much for stopping by.  The newest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's by Debbie.  It's a great sketch that will be one that you use over and over again.

My card features Thinking of You Always by Pink and Main, papers from the Spellbinders card kit that I've been sharing a lot of lately and a stencil that I made using my Silhouette Cameo.

I really love how this card turned out.  It's soft palette is just lovely.  I used Peacock Feathers and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink and it paired perfectly with the teal foil paper from the kit.

I also did something that I have been thinking about doing for a long time.  I have wanted to make videos to share some techniques that can be combined with our sketches.  I hope this will give you some inspiration to think outside the sketch.

My video isn't great and I am working on making improvements.  In fact I've already made a very important step by getting a set up for better overhead videos that aren't so far away and will be from my perspective.  Please be kind.  :0)

I hope to see you at the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog and can't wait to see your card!  Also, please visit the design team.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #460

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by!  I appreciate your visit.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's a fun one.  Great for using up those scraps of paper that we all have!  Also a great way to feature a large sentiment or maybe a great border.

My card is another one from the card kit I've been sharing.  This one features all the great papers that came in the kit and the little square die.

The card base is the gray card stock that came in the kit.  I then used some scraps of the pretty papers.  I used the sweet sentiment die and stamps from Pink and Main. I cut it from the teal foil paper and black fun foam.  I embossed the "thoughts of you" with Nuvo white embossing  powder.  It's a little choppy because I didn't use my MISTI and should have on this textured card stock.

At this angle you can see how pretty and shiny that foil paper is.

I hope to see you at the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog and can't wait to see your card!  Also, please visit the design team.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #459

Good Morning!  Thank you for stopping by.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's soo pretty!  I hope you'll like it as much as I do.

My card features a beautiful stamp by Pink and Main.  I had so much fun coloring this stamp - I made two cards.

This first card I embossed the image on Ranger water color paper and colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and an aqua-brush.  The sentiment is die by Pink and Main.

I also decorated the back flap of the envelope...

The envelope I colored with Copics and got a fairly close match.

This next card I decided to try a technique that I saw on You Tube.  I honestly can't remember if it was Jennifer McGuire or Effie with The Ton stamps that I saw this technique.  The image was messily colored and then sprayed with water.  I grabbed the bottle of water that had Perfect Pearls in the bottom so I didn't realize until I started spraying that I'd have shimmer, too.  I made a mess, so I had to cover it up with gray around the image and it turned out soooo cool!  The sentiment is a hello die by Pink and Main and the "friend" is also from Pink and Main.

I did the envelope, too, but I messed up a little and didn't make sure it was in the same spot in the MISTI when I double stamped so it came out a little blurry.

Just playing around....

Hello!  So it's not often that I play along with other challenges - I do way too many other hobbies I guess.  But I have to share this set of cards.  Spellbinders had a flash sale a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't resist.  They had card kits at an incredibly low price so I picked up a two.  I'm still working on creating 10 cards with one kit, but here's a few...

This kit is the December 2015 kit and this card I am playing along with Sketch Saturday.

These other 2 cards are a couple more from the same kit and CASE'd from the inspiration card that was included in the kit.

There are a couple more and I'll share next week with the Tuesday Morning Sketches card.  Have a good day!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #458

Hello! Thank you for stopping by.  I appreciate your visit - I sure wish you'd leave a word or two to let me know you were here.  The latest sketch is up on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog, it's by Debbie and has so many possibilities.

My card features stamp/die from Tonic Studios, sentiment (hello) from Concord and 9th, flowers from stamp set by Papertrey Ink and Picked Raspberry and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks.  The white embossing powder is by Nuvo.

I love this color combination.  It's happy and bright.  I blended the inks onto Bristol Smooth card stock for both the You and the card layer.  This was so easy!  This is a single postage card and I am big into those.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #457

Hello and thank you for stopping by.  The latest sketch is up on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog and it's a fun one!

My cards feature stamps and papers from the June 2018 Simon Says Stamp kit.  I love how these cards came out but I do wish I'd spent a little more time on improving the coloring.

These are great little notecards and are super easy to mass produce.  I let the patterned paper do most of the work!  I cut the circles out using a stitched circle die set I picked up from CC Designs that was on clearance for under $5!  Could not pass that up.  I used a bit of the gold foil paper that came in the kit. The sentiment is also from the kit, but it actually says "Love & Hugs" but I just inked up the Hugs part.  Note to self:  stamp the sentiment before you glue on the focal piece.  Ha!

And here's the other one I made.  I love this color combo in the flower, I just wish the picture was better...

I did finish of the flowers with my Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen that came in a previous kit.  But you can only see the shimmer in real life.
