Tuesday Morning Sketches #559

Hello!  Thank you so much for stopping by my blog.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  This is a really fun sketch and it's such an open canvas.  Patti did a great job with this sketch.

I am so very excited to share my cards with you!  This first one features the Friends Forever bundle at Queen & Co.  I'm still trying to embrace the bright primary colors.  I think I need to just give the paper away, it's still not something I'm drawn to.

I added some small strips of solid colors on the left hand side of the card to try to tone down these crazy hearts.  Then I added the black yarn to really try to ground this card.  It's still a bit eye assaulting.  I love the sentiment - I think I'll just play with that from now on.

This next card.  Oh my goodness, I am just bursting at the seams to share it with you....

Aren't these gorgeous flowers!?  This card features the Flowering Cistus stamps and dies from Altenew.  Yes, I splurged!  I know I shouldn't have done it, but I did.  I am still very committed to paying off some bills and so far I'm on track as I laid it all out.  So I deserve the stamps.

Instead of wrapping ribbon or twine like on the sketch I embossed 3 lines.  this card is just so pretty!

Well, again, thank you for stopping by and I'll see you over at the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog.  Be sure to come by to join us and leave some love for the design team members.

I must admit, the first time I saw your Smile card I thought it said Shrik. It took me a while to figure out it said Smile. I wonder if I had my glasses on or off. Anyway, it is a very cheery card. Your second card is just beautiful. I'm glad you splurged! Hugs, Debi

Both cards are wonderful but I love the fun bright colours of your first card.
