Tuesday Morning Sketches #629

Hello!  Thank you so much for stopping by.  I appreciate your visit.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning  Sketches and it's a really easy sketch.  Which means you can either keep it dressed casually or go all out and dress it to the nines!

I actually made two cards and they are inspired by dies that are from Honey Bee Stamps.  I don't own any of those but I have plenty of others.  And once again, I'm making pumpkins!  Here's the first card...

\
This first one features some black/kraft patterned paper from Hobby Lobby that I have had for years.  I used stitched oval dies from CC Designs to make the pumpkin.  And then used several other dies from Spellbinders.  Honestly, this card fell a little flat for me but I can't exactly pinpoint how.  But while working on this card, I die cut some flowers that I thought I'd use but discovered the colors just wouldn't work so from it another card was formulating in my head.

I thought a bouquet in a pumpkin would be pretty I cut more flowers and viola - here it is.  This one is using the same stitched oval dies that I cut from Neenah Natural card stock, then inked with Carved Pumpkin and Brushed Corduroy Oxide inks.  Then I embossed with the swirls embossing folder.  The flowers and leaves were die cut from dies by Pink and Main.  The paper I used is also from Pink and Main.

The second card is by far my favorite and my sister said it can only be sent to someone worthy, which means she wants it!  LOL

Thank you again for stopping by and now head on over the TMS blog to check out what the rest of the team made and since you'll be there, you may as well join us!

I think they are both beautiful!! Great papers in both!

Personally, I like the first card better. But I always like cards with kraft. I might add a bit more lime to the leaves for more of a color pop. Otherwise I love the assortment of patterns. Very nice distressing on the second card. And I like the blue cross panel, too. Hugs, Debi
