Tuesday Morning Sketches #663

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's a fun one.  A little challenging but not too bad.  Flip it a little and one could make that card I'm seeing so often on Instagram where it looks like an outer layer is being ripped back to reveal something below.

Anyway, I'm still not 100%, still coughing a bit and still get tired very easily.  But I'm doing better and I think it shows with my card.  I'm pretty happy with it.  I challenged myself to use an old matstack.  This one is called Latte and definitely one of my favorites.

This card features dies from Pink and Main (daisy), Spellbinders (sprigs) and CC Designs (squares).  I did also use the newest embossing folder from Spellbinders from their EOM.  I know these colors don't exactly say hey, it's summer - but I love this paper pad!  This is a nice card.  I did make a second one where I didn't emboss that purple panel.  Both look pretty good!

Again, I appreciate you stopping by.  Now please head on over the TMS blog, leave the team some love and join the fun.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #662

Hello! Thank you so much for your visit.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's a nice one by Debbie.

So I guess it was my turn to get bit by the COVID bug and I've been sick for the last 3 weeks.  I don't honestly know that what it really was because I didn't go get tested.  All I know is the first few days were awful and the next few weeks all I've been doing is sleeping.  I still get fatigued rather easily and have found I need that hour or two nap in the afternoon.  If you know me, then you know my view on sleep is that it's a waste of time.  But I can't help it.  I am ready to be normal again, no more coughing and having a normal sleep pattern.

I feel that this illness has also affected my creativity.  My card features dies from Spellbinders and sentiment die and stamp from Pink and Main.  In a word, it's "meh."  Not my favorite but here you go....

I don't know if it's the colors that I don't work well or what, but my card isn't that well executed and it just is what it is.

Please join us at the TMS blog, the design team did a great job with the sketch and you're sure to get inspired by their creations.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #660

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  It's fun and I think a bit creative.

My card features cut files I got from the Silhouette Design store.  Honestly, I'm not sure what I was thinking when I made this sketch but when I sat down to make a card, at first I was thinking surf boards but then I saw these super adorable popsicles.  I love popsicles!

I cut the designs out of white cardstock and then colored them using Distress Oxide Ink.  The first pop is Festive Berries and Saltwater Taffy, the 2nd pop is Tumbled Glass (although not too visible) and the 3rd pop is Blueprint Sketch and Tumbled Glass.  The sticks are Vintage Photo.  I then embossed a piece of vellum with stars embossing folder from JoAnn's.  The sentiment is a print & cut from Silhoutte, too.  I printed it on sticker paper.  Then I finished it off with some dots here and there using Nuvo Drops.  My card came together very quickly and is a fun card.  I admit, I don't usually make 4th of July cards, but it was fun!

I hope to see you over at the TMS blog.  Join in the fun and leave some love!
