Tuesday Morning Sketches #677

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by, I appreciate your visit.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

I actually made a couple of cards and if I'm honest, I'm not completely satisfied with them but they're okay.  This first one features the September 2022 Small die of the month set and the Kaleidoscope Plaid die set that I scored at Hobby Lobby on clearance for under $5!

The leaves were a lot of fun stitch despite using gold metallic floss.  It's difficult to work with.

This 2nd card features the August 2022 Card Kit of the month from Spellbinders.

I also used the August Embossing folder and this stuff called Opal Polish from Creative Expressions.  It's really kind of neat, I just need to learn use it better.  I used Dashed Squares dies from i-Crafter to cut the paper that was included in the kit and focal piece and sentiment are from the ephemera.

I like this ephemera but the colors aren't strong.  So I think I should have done some inking so the card doesn't look so flat.  I am really coveting the Pink Dream ephemera from Stamperia.  It's so pretty!  I can't find it anywhere.

Well, that's my share for today.  Please join us at the TMS blog and leave the team some love.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #676

Hello!  Thanks for stopping by.  I appreciate your visit.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  It's a nice and easy one - great for using up scraps.

My card features the September Stamps and Dies of the month from Spellbinders.  This cute gnome was too cute to pass up!

Can you believe it!  I colored stamped images.  Wow!!  I had a lot of fun.  I also used the Sept Embossing Folder of the month,  It's mostly covered up, but still adds some great texture.

Please join us at the challenge blog.  We'd love for you to join and be sure to leave some love for the team.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #675

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's a fun one by Patti.  She even through in an extra challenge by adding an animal.

My card features a super cute fox die cut by Lori Whitlock available at the iCrafter online store.  The sentiment is from the same die set.  And I just couldn't wait to use more of this awesome paper from Echo Park....

I also used some really pretty sunflower paper I picked up from Hobby Lobby.  I was originally thinking a vellum sticker but couldn't find what I was looking for so I settled on this beautiful paper and fussy cut out the blooms.  I also used the dot circle glimmer plate.  Note to self, hot foil first then cut out with the circle die.  Not the other way around.  Impossible to line up!  LOL  But I am still happy with the results.

I ended up making 3 cards.  The one above and two of the same below....

These cards were so much fun to make.  The piecing takes some time, but I really enjoy the process.

Now, head on over to the TMS blog to leave some love for the team and join in the fun!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #674

Hello, hello, hello!  Thank you for stopping by.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  I think it'll be a lot of fun letting your imagination go wild!

My card features another great stitching die from Spellbinders.  This one is called Stitched Card Front, Border & Flower.  It was the May Large DOM.  I made this card for my very dear friend's birthday.

I didn't do so well with the foiled sentiment, but my friend didn't care.  I just have to foil more often so I get the hang of what's the right amount pressure and heat.

My daughter is really loving all the stitched cards.  I made another one recently and I completely forgot to photograph it!  And it was STUNNING.  The below picture of it is what the recipient scanned.  SCANNED!!  So it doesn't look at all like it does in real life.  The sentiment is foiled.

I used Glacier card stock from Spellbinders, 3 shades of floss to create an ombre look but after I added my sentiment, you can really see what went in the center.  Then I finished it with some Nuvo Drops in a pewter color.

Well, that's it for me.  I hope to see you over at the TMS blog to join us with this week's sketch challenge.  Leave the team some love!
