Good Morning,
Sorry I missed you all yesterday. I belong to a Growth Group that started yesterday for a new study at church at my friend's house and my plan was to post as soon as I got home. Well, I ended up spending most of the day at her house! But here I am, back again.
I have a really simple card to share with you today. This features a few stamps from Lindsay's newest set that is released today. Be sure to visit Lindsay's blog to see the entire set and she's got some great freebies to go with it. Also, she'll have a tutorial on how to change the color of your digi-stamps! So cool!!
I wanted to keep my card simple this week. I love Fall! The colors, the cool days, the falling leaves. This new Leaf Prints set features 4 different types of leaves and sentiments galore! Also the beautiful box that can be used for journaling and in my case for the sentiment. I am also learning just how cool .png format is! I never understood it until today. I like the transparency to them, wow, what versatility! I really didn't know what the heck I was doing, I was playing with the leaves and had brought in two that were in .jpg format and one in .png and that's when I discovered what it really does. So I was able to then bring the box and the words in .png and layer them and it printed as one image.
I printed the leaves directly onto my card stock so that all I had to do was cut it in half and fold to create my card base. I colored with Prismacolor markers, but had to cover the inside with dp because these markers bleed through. It's OK - decorating the inside of the card is fun, too. Then I just cut out the box and matted to dark brown card stock and adhered with pop-dots over the gorgeous rust colored ribbon.
Now be sure to visit Lindsay for the new release, freebies and tutorial. Oh! And she's got the Babies & Bows collection on sale for 50% off in celebration of the birth of her beautiful nephew! Also visit the rest of the team for inspiration and leave a little love. We have guest designer Ceal Pritchett joining us this month, you may know her from Sweet n Sassy, at least that's where I'm familiar with her. Love her work!
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your day.
