Tuesday Morning Sketches #269

Good Morning!  The sketch is up and this one was created by Grandma Bonnie.  Sadly, she's decided to step down from the team but she leaves us with a great sketch!  Our sponsor is Stitchy Bear Digital Outlet and my card features Pumpkin Bear.  My card.... a little spooky but so sweet.

I know the "scary" images don't really go with that sweet bear, but I honestly couldn't resist.  I have no idea what to do with Halloween cards, but they're really fun to make.

The spider web border and the key are cut files found in the Silhouette Online store.  "BOO" I cut out with a font I have.  The paper is old from Michaels (yay, I actually used a little something in my long forgotten stash).  I printed the bear on Ivory Coast card stock and easy coloring with my Copics.

Sweet little pumpkin... Kelleigh Ratlaff Designs style

Good Morning!  I hope everyone is doing well.  Me?  I'm OK I guess.  I can't complain... well, I could but what good would it do?

Anyway, it's been so long since I've shared anything on my blog except for TMS posts.  Not that I haven't been making anything, but some things weren't share worthy, I guess.  But today's project is!  I love the Fall.  I love the colors.  I love the crisp air.  I love sweaters and sweatpants and slippers.  And I miss having all those things living in Florida.  I'm so jealous, I read a post by my cousin Michael on FB and he was going on and on about how beautiful the Aspens are looking.  *sigh*

Kelleigh Ratlaff Designs has a super cute Perfect Pumpkin 3D container that I just fell in love with.  I paired with a bit of her digital papers from her Blessings pack.  Also featured is one of leaves from her Autumn Leaves set.

I used Pumpkin Pie card stock (SU!) for the bottom of the box.  Take your time gluing the tabs and aligning the edges, and your results will be fantastic.  This pumpkin is so easy to put together.  The cutting file does not come with a stem, so I just rolled up card stock to create one.  Cut out one of the leaves from two different shades of green in the digi-paper pack and then embossed them.  I decided to distress them a bit so I did a light sanding on the embossing.  I then added a burlap bow to finish it off.

Throw in some treats and tie the bag off with a piece of jute.

So darn cute!!  Thanks for stopping by.  Leave me a comment, let me know you visited.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #268

Hi everyone!  Thank you for stopping by.  The sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it was created by our very own Jessi.  It has sooo much possibility.  Just go check out the DT's cards and you'll see what I mean.

Here's my card.  I created it with a few cute elements I found on the Silhouette Online store which has nothing to do with the prize.  I'm sponsoring and will be giving a $10 voucher to Simon Says Stamp.  I did have visions of another card that would've made more sense why I was giving this voucher but as always... the best laid plans.

But this one is pretty cute for a slightly single layer card.

These cute files paired well with Kraft card stock and this washi tape I picked up at Michael's a couple of weeks ago.

Do head on over to the TMS blog and play along with us.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #267

Hello everyone,

Thanks for stopping by.  The new sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's really easy.  I like it, there is a lot of possibility.  We're also sponsored by Bugaboo Digital Stamps.  My card features a new design called Ladybug Fairy.  So cute!!

I really love this card because I also got to feature a cute card kit by Designs on Cloud 9.  I didn't use a couple of the elements that come in the cut file, but I am loving the results.  The centers of flowers were actually punched out of glitter paper.  I do wish I had made the focal image a bit bigger or the flowers a little smaller. I am still trying to learn scale on the digital cutting mat.

Please head on over to the TMS blog to join us.  Have a great day!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #266

Good Morning Friends.  I've posted this sketch for this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches one hour earlier than usual and we'll end one hour later... all because I goofed and didn't notice that I closed the challenge early this past Sunday.

This week we're sponsored by my dear friend Deedee of Deedee's Digis.  Whoo-hoo!!  And it's the Judged Challenge week, so our twist is Back to School.  My card features Teacher's Pet.  I did "alter" the sentiment a little by adding a text in front of the image to add the word "Happy."

My card also features an really cute School svg file card set that I found on the Silhouette Online Store that was PERRR-FECT for my card.  I am really excited how this turned out.  I'm sending it to my sister to wish her a great school year.  Fitting for a 5th Grade teacher, right?

Please join us over at TMS!  Have a happy Tuesday.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #265

Good Morning!  The sketch challenge is up and ready for you to play along with us at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  This week our sponsor is Digital Delights by Looby Lou.  It's fun to be able to play with Wendy's images again.  I haven't since my term on the challenge team ended.

My card features one of my favorite images, Hanging Birdhouse.  Birdhouses are just so homey to me.  My card also features my new Woodgrain embossing folder.  I'm not sure I'm happy with the folder, it's REALLY deep that the paper becomes very brittle.  But it's overall affect is nice.  I also have a sweet little pieced bird from a svg file.  Today was not my day for photos!  His wing looks black, it's not, it's dark brown.  I couldn't get lighting right at all.

Thanks for stopping by and we'll see you over that the TMS blog!  Have a great Tuesday.
