Color My Heart Color Dare #546

Hello!  Thank you for visiting.  Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #546 is posted.  This is a fun tic-tac-toe challenge - across, down or diagonal - the choice is yours!

My card features products from Altenew and a hot foiled sentiment from Spellbinders that has been sitting on my table for months!

I stamped the images on to some mulberry colored card stock using some VersaFine Onyx Black ink and then clear heat embossed the images and die cut them out using the coordinating dies.  Did the same with the leaves on to pine colored card stock.  Then I ink the images with bit of Distress Oxide ink.  I also die some some little ivory flowers (french vanilla) and gave them gold centers.

Please join us for the challenge!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #704

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  It's a fun one.  Easy one.  Really a good go to sketch.

My card features cover die from Pink Fresh, flower dies from Spellbinders and papers from that card challenge I was gonna do - 15 cards from a pad a paper, no waste.  Yeah, well, I didn't do it.  But this particular sketch was similar to ours minus a couple of a details.

I hope these pictures look better on your monitor than they do mine. I take my pictures with my phone and edit them on there, but for some reason my edited photo didn't upload to my computer.

I did use some antique gold glitter card stock for the flower centers and that squiggly thing.   This looks so beautiful in real life.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #703

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by.  The newest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's a great one by Debbie.

My card features items from April Simon Says card kit.  I haven't bought one of these for a really long time.  I just couldn't resist these poppies.  I love poppies!  One of my favorite movies... like in the top 10 is The Wizard of Oz.  And even though the wicked witch tried to make the poppies be bad, my heart also felt so happy seeing fields and fields of poppies.  Their color is like no other.  And their seeds - I love a lemon poppy seed muffin.  Mmmm.

The card stock I used is Phone Booth - which I think is by Lawn Fawn.  The papers came in the kit, they are by Moda Scrap and I am obsessed with these papers.  I want more!  The border I made myself using a small scallop die (Simon) and a stitched border die (honestly not sure anymore, but it may be CC Designs or MFT Stamps).  I cut a strip of black card stock 1/2 inch wide, placed the scallop border to just barely cut each long edge and then laid the stitching die between the scallops and ran it through my die cutting machine again.  I stamped the poppy and leaf, colored using Copics and then fussy cut them out.  The sentiment and poppies are from the kit.  I stamped the sentiment on white card stock and then made an easy fan tail.  This is definitely exaggerating some of the elements on the card, but it works for me.  I love how this turned out.

I hope you are inspired by my card.  If not, head on over to TMS blog because the design team did a great job and there's variety!  See you there.

Color My Heart Color Dare #544

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by.  The Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #544 is up and ready for you to play along.

This week's colors are just so beautiful.  You must use all 3.

I didn't make a card this time.  I wanted to play with some of things I got from Vicky P's newest Stamperia collection and make another page for my art journal.

This one I kept super simple.  Not a lot ink, no mediums.  Just an easy going page.  I, of course, die cut the base page and decorated page from the Tonic Studios dies I've been using.  I got the 8x8 paper pad and the Collectables pad from the collection called Welcome Home.  I did use this background stamp called Circle Sketch from Spellbinders - randomly stamping here and there on the paper.  The paper is from the 8x8 paper pad.  This pretty much did all the work for me!  Then I cut out book and butterflies and adhered.  I die cut the "life is better" also in the Tonic Studios kit  and finished the title with a stamp that came in the kit, too.  Easy peasy but I totally love it!

We'll see you over at the challenge.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #702

Hello, hello, hello!  So glad you're here.  I do love it when you stop by for a visit.  The latest sketch is up for Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's a fun one and easy one.  And we're collaborating with a fellow challenge blog called Double Trouble Challenges.  The challenge is our sketch paired with their color challenge - ROYGBIV.  Traditional rainbow colors or feel free to change that up.

My card, I went all out with rainbows.  Paper, image, the nine yards.

The paper is an old paper pad I've had forever from Echo Park.  The image is Glimmer Kit from a year or two ago from Spellbinders.  I hot foiled the rainbow and arches with gold hot foil onto white card stock and then ink blended the different colors on.  The red came out a little darker than I anticipated but I was committed.  The sentiment, from the same set, is foiled in rainbow hot foil.

Overall, this was a really simple note card to put together that is sure to brighten anyone's day.

This challenge will run for two weeks so you have lots of time to play along and we hope to see you join both challenges.
