Good Morning everyone! I hope you had a great week and are ready for a long weekend. I have a real quick post for you all today. If you've seen this card before it's because I posted it yesterday on Crafting with Deedee's Digis.
This week's Happy Monday challenge is all about pets. You still have a couple of days to get in on this challenge if you'd like. I used the help of Mojo Monday's sketch, so as you can see, it's easy to combine a couple of other challenges with Happy Monday.
I used Purr-fect Halloween which is a great set. The kitty is actually sitting next to the pumpkin, but I cut that part out. There are also 4 wonderful sentiments in this set. I had so much fun coloring this little guy. Coloring with dark colors takes a little practice and a huge leap of faith... at least it's that way for me. I think he came out really cute.
Here's a close up of the kitty. I used a white gel pen to add wisps of white fur and to highlight his whiskers. The little paw prints along the bottom was created with a pencil eraser and a small dot stamp. Super easy.
Supplies:
Card stock: Neenah Classic Crest, Lemon yellow (PTI), Certainly Celery, Pumpkin Pie (SU)
Paper: Paws and Claws Kitty Argyle (The Paper Company)
Stamps/Ink: Polka Dot Basics (PTI), Rich Cocoa (Memento)
Copics: C8, C10, RV000, RV10, Y15, Y17
Tools: Scallop rectangle & circle nesties (Spellbinder), 1 3/8" circle punch, Cuttlebug, white gel pen, pencil
Embellishments: satin ribbon (Offray)
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I wish you a great, long and safe holiday weekend.
