Happy Monday Challenge...

Good Morning!  Yes, I know it's Wednesday - but I just had to play with Deedee's sketch featured this week for the Happy Monday Challenge.  To join in the fun, just head on over to the Crafting with Deedee's Digis blog.

My inspiration for this card came from the cold that my children and I have been passing to each other for the past couple of weeks.  Get Well cards are always nice to have on hand particularly with cold and flu season.

I had a lot of fun making this card - it's great for using paper piecing although a bit tricky with the great details that Deedee puts into her digis.  I printed out some fabulous digi paper that is perfect for this Autumn season and works for either a feminine or masculine card.  I also added some faux stitching with a white gel pen.  When I was finished with my faux stitching, I had to laugh - it's about as straight as my real stitching is.  I guess next time I better use a ruler!

Supplies:
Card stock:  Neenah Classic Crest, Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke (SU)
Digi Paper:  Apple Festival Kit (ACOT)
Copics:  B000, E34, E37, E57, R29, RV13, Y15, Y17
Stamps/Ink:  Mini-Messages (PTI), Jet Black (Staz-On)
Tools:  White gel pen
Embellishments:  large brad (unk)

I hope you like the card - I had so much fun making it. It also felt really good to spend some quality time making cards this past weekend.  I feel like I am slowly finding myself again.  Thank you so much for stopping by!

Oh how adorable, Melissa! Love the paper piecing on the bedding, and your beautiful coloring on the image. So sorry to hear that your family has been passing around a cold -- we've been there recently, too -- isn't it fun how family always "shares" -- LOL! Hugs, Deedee
