So Theresa decided on this week's challenge, she said we're going to pull out an older technique....
Crayon Resist
You remember that? Yep, it's time to raid your children's, grandchildren's, niece's or nephew's crayon box for their white crayon. This technique is so easy that delivers a lot of pop. Here's my card....
I did use the most fabulously fun sketch from The Sweet Stop for the layout and I pulled out lots of supplies from my stash. I am really happy with the results.
Supplies:
Card stock: Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Glossy White
Stamps/Ink: Tickled Pink (CTMH), Daisy (DRS Designs), Rich Cocoa, Desert Sand (Memento), Summer Sun, Old Olive, Close to Cocoa (SU!), Black Staz-On
Tools: Labels Two (Spellbinders), Square punches (SM), sponges, white crayon (Crayola)
Embellishments: Brown rick-rack
Now head on over to TMS to join us!
7 Encouraging Thoughts:
This is gorgeous, Melissa! Love that ric rac trim....
Daisies are the perfect image for this technique! Wonderful sentiment, too!!
This is beautiful. The black really pops the flowers and sentiment right out. The ricrac trim is so cool, too.
Beautifully done! Once again I love that sentiment. I love the daisy images!!
Just a quick note to let you know that a link to this post will be placed on CraftCrave today [18 May 02:15am GMT]. Thanks, Maria
