Delightful Challenges

Good Morning!  It's Thursday so we're on the downhill side of the week.  I am looking forward to the weekend, I needs lots of crafting time to finish up a book I am making for a friend of mine.  I can't wait to share it with you all, too.  It's looking really pretty.

But for now, let's talk about this week's challenge at Delightful Challenges.  This week we're making Easter Projects.  I made a classic paper basket that I think we all learned out how to make years and years ago.

So, in case you need a refresher.  You start with square of paper that would equally be divisable by 3.  I started with a 4 1/2 inch square piece of paper and scored at 1 1/2 and at 3.  Turn it and score again.  Cut down on one side to center square and then again on the opposite.  Bring up your sides to secure.

I used Spring Has Sprung digi paper.  I printed one side and then put it back into my printer to print out the other side.  I love digi paper because I create my own custom 2 sided paper using this method.  Then cut out my square.  Then with a long leftover piece, I cut the handle.  I used the Lacey Border dies to create my handle, wove some ribbon thru it and the adhered with glue dots.

I colored Lara the Ladybug in her Spring-y colors and set her in front.  And then finished the back with a simple bow.  Really easy to do.  These type of baskets can easily be mass produced quickly if you have a bunch of kids to give them to.  I hope you join us for the challenge this week.  I can't wait to see what Easter projects you create.
