Good Morning! I hope you all had a great weekend. Guess what I did? I picked up a crochet needle again. I have been wanting to make a baby blanket for (another) friend at work and I got it in my head. Then I thought, there's no way I can endure the pain, but I just couldn't bring myself to do anything else for her. So I did it. I had a great coupon for yarn. I bought a pattern book, which ultimately proved to be too difficult for me, so I found an easy, free pattern on the internet and I actually am doing it. My wrist and shoulder are sore, but I'll live.
Anyway, so now that I don't have quite as many design teams on my plate, I also had time to whip up this card last night in about 15 minutes - if that. It was easy by following the challenges at Just Us Girls (sketch) and CAS-ual Fridays (thank you).
Now, although you'll see make a few Valentines Cards, this is not my preference. And why I did this one, I'll never know - but hey, it's not for Valentine's Day - it's a thank you card!
Have a terrific Monday and we'll see you tomorrow for Tuesday Morning Sketches.

12 Encouraging Thoughts:
You know, I'm not big on Valentines either....never thought about it much! I love the way you did the hearts - the pink/red ombre look rocks, and so does the way you did the embossing!
That sucks that your body is hurting after crocheting - I wonder if that's what has been bothering my shoulder? I have a bad feeling that it is :(
This is pretty! I've only given Valentine cards (and just to my family) since I started making cards and so many challenges ask for them!
I really like the hearts embossed with the BG!!!
Melissa, this is beautifully! I am a little sweet on Valentine's Day because it's my birthday, but if it wasn't I am not sure I would be either! Ha! I love all your pretty hearts!
I have always wanted to crochet! I bet your blanket will be gorgeous when finished! What a special gift!
Hey Melissa,
Beautiful, beautiful card hun. I love CAS, esp. when it looks this awesome.

I like the color gradient of the hearts!
What a fab card! Love the ombre look with those hearts, and embossing them with the bg was a genius idea. This is such a great card, and it could be adapted easily for just about any occasion. I'll be CASEing this, for sure. ;) Have fun crocheting that blanket. I get the bug for that every now and then. I'm thinking of crocheting flowers for my cards... eventually. ~Hugs!
Fun use of embossing also~ Thanks for joining in with JUGS~
Oh how cool. The embossing on this is perfection. Thanks so much for playing with us at CAS-ual Fridays!
Glad you were able to crochet again :) Nice touch with the EF. Thanks for joining us at Just Us Girls this week :)
