Good Morning! How is everyone? I'm doing well, another birthday this week. Levi turns 14 on Wednesday.
I have been so anxious for today to get there - I made this card a week ago and am so pleased with the results, that I just have had the hardest time waiting to share it.
Soooo? What do you think? I think it is so pretty. I hope you do, too. Now, let me take you through details. First of all, I made my own washi tape. Nothing I had worked with the colors I chose to use. Next is Jessi's beautiful, hand-crocheted mat. She's sponsoring us this week and the winner gets 18 of her mats. The stamps are from My Favorite Things (sentiment) and Papertrey Ink (circle of dots) and then I made the flowers following an idea that I found You Tube.
This shot shows you the pretty blooms and washi tape. I made the washi tape using plain, ol' white tissue paper that I cut into strips and then ran through my Xyron 150 that was loaded with removable adhesive. Then I stained the tissue using ink and an aquapainter. I should have let it dry before stamping, but I didn't, so the images smeared a little - but in the end, I liked the look. I hit with a hairdryer and placed it on my card.
I hope you play along with us this week. Come on! It's a great prize!!
