Hello everyone! First of all, let me apologize for my tardiness - I had a friend over yesterday evening until very late and I completely forgot to get my post ready.
So I have a card to share with you today, that you may have seen a version I made awhile ago. I just love this flower. It's so easy to create. Let me show you what I made and then we'll talk about it.
So what do I mean when I say a leaf becoming a flower? Well, using one of the leaf dies in Spellbinders Foliage Shapeabilities I cut 8 petals out two different patterned papers. Inked the edges to give it some depth. I also punched out a 5/8" circle from a scrap piece of card stock. Glued the bottom layer of petals to the circle and then glued on the top layer of petals. Then I found this beautiful button in my stash, I cut the shank off and using a 3D pop dot adhered it for the flower's center. Using the same paper pack, I also created a pinwheel base for my flower to sit on. The base edging was created a piece of decorative paper and the border die in the Ironworks Accents die set.
This is a simple, yet elegant card and I just love it so much.
