Just playing around....

Hello!  Happy Monday.  I hope you all had a great weekend.  Mine was good.  The weather was gorgeous and I was able to spend some time at my craft table.

I've been watching lots of videos lately on watercolor backgrounds.  I think the friends at Just Us Girls must've been, too, because that the challenge this week.  I made a small order from Ellen Hutson and part of it was watercolor paper.  So here's my attempt....

I love how this looks!  I should've added a bit more green and little less blue, but I really love this!  I was pretty easy.  I put ink on an acrylic block and then spritzed it with water and then stamped.  After I dried it with a heat gun I added the stamping.

I did go to Hobby Lobby on Saturday so I picked up a package of sequins and added these to the card.  The stamp set is one of my favorites - it's called Bloom by There She Goes Stamps.  Of course, that shop has been closed for awhile now, I do hope Chris Dark (illustrator) has made her designs available somewhere else.

Stamps:  Bloom (TSG)
Card stock:  Neenah Classic Crest, Brilliant Blue (SU!), Watercolor card stock (Ranger)
Ink:  New Sprout, Summer Sky, Danube Blue, Bahama Blue, Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Tools:  Heat gun, Cuttlebug, Maryanne embossing folder

The panel of blue you used to frame the image to match the watercolors really made this card stand out! Thanks for playing along with us over at Just Us Girls.

I actually chose this technique quite a while ago, but it is so popular, I'm glad I did! Your bg is so pretty! Love how you achieved it! Thanks for playing with Just Us Girls!
