Silhouette Sunday

Hello!  Happy Sunday.  I hope everyone is enjoying a nice holiday weekend.  It's been really stormy all weekend which is great for reading, napping and card making.

This week's Sunday Silhouette share is an easy easel card by Lori Whitlock.  The challenge on her blog is a shaped card.  This card is so easy, it literally only took minutes to make.  3 cuts on Portrait, a little bit of glue and a few brads and it's done....

I cut the base out of Bravo Burgundy and embossed the top layer with the Textile embossing folder by Cuttlebug.  I cut the smaller butterfly out of a paper stack I picked up on clearance at Hobby Lobby called Botanical Collection by Prima.  I inked the edged with Bravo Burgundy ink and then added some glimmer with the Wink of Stella clear glitter brush.  Um... it actually smears the ink.  I sort like how it looked, but just a word of caution.  I added the brads in the pre-cut holes and then added a couple more pearls to finish off the butterfly.
