Good Morning! Thank you for stopping by. The sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and we have a fabulous sponsor, too. Lacy Sunshine is joining us!
Unfortunately, there are still some things that haven't found a functional place in my new home yet. One of those is my printer. So making lemonade, I decided to pull out a stamp set that I won a couple of years ago that I hadn't even inked it up once and it's absolutely gorgeous. This a stamp set that is probably not around anymore, but it's by CTMH called Sweet Life.
My background is a stencil I got off of Blitsy awhile back. I brushed on some coloring using a stencil brush. I the love softness that brings. I then continued to brush on some color using Wild Honey, Spiced Marmelade and Mustard Seed Distress Inks. I stamped the images using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored my images by sponging on the colors above, with the addition of Peeled Paint. I layered my background and focal images on a piece of card stock by Paper Trey Ink (Summer Sunrise). I also used Whip Cream card stock by MFT. This is the first time I've ever used their card stock - I like it. It's heavy but smooth.
It felt really good to make a card, my mojo got packed in the boxes and it's been pretty card to get it unpacked. I'm glad I finally did!

7 Encouraging Thoughts:
I'm so happy you were able to create this sweet card! Sometimes when your mojo disappears you just need to stamp, how wonderful to create with a brand new stamp set. Hopefully you can figure out the printer situation and get crafting in your new space.
Stunning card and colouring.

Great job with the Sweet Life stamp Melissa, I really struggle with fruit & veggies for some reason. I can relate to your Mojo being packed, I've been in my new craft room for months and I still haven't unpacked everything. I do have plenty to inspire me but I'm constantly thinking where's this and where's that and I can't remember what I gave away and still have half the time.
Everything is better with lemons, and I really like this lemony delightful card! I like the spotlighted focal panel with that great background!
This is beautiful!! Pretty image and paper, and your coloring and sponging takes it over the top!
BEAUTIFUL! I like the background, but I especially like the stamp set you've used. The whole effect is scrumptious!
Hi Melissa I love the soft look of your card. Thanks for picking me as your favorite for sketch #365. I love playing along with Tuesday Morning when I can
