Hello! Thank you so much for stopping by. The latest sketch for Tuesday Morning Sketches is up and it's a fun one. I liked it so much, I turned it on it's side!
My card features a couple of Small DOM's from Spellbinders, Floral Fantasy embossing folder and Distress Oxide inks in Cracked Pistachio, Salty Ocean and Spun Sugar.
I inked up the embossing folder with the Cracked Pistachio ink and ran it through my Big Shot for a letterpress look. But before I did that, I did cut 3/4 inch squares and lined them up along the right side so that they stayed white. I then die cut the butterfly and colored it using the other Oxide ink colors. I did forget to mention Black Soot. I used that, too. I cut a frame using the rectangle dies from Spellbinders from black card stock as well as the greeting. This was a really easy card and I love the effect.
Please head on over to the TMS blog and join in the fun. Be sure to leave some love for the team.
5 Encouraging Thoughts:
Really beautiful and turning the sketch sideways worked so well creating a very nice card.
Your card is wonderful! I love the inked embossed background and adding the letters to the squares was brilliant.
Your color combination is a little unusual, but it works so well. Really pretty card.
This is gorgeous Melissa and how smart you were to block out the squares to achieve the sketch in unison with your embossing!!!
Gorgeous card!! This butterfly is wonderful! I love that you turned the sketch and used letters!! And of course, the embossed BG!
