This fairy needs to retire!

Hi Everyone - Happy Middle of the Week! I hope you are doing well.

I have a super cute card to share with you that uses an image from The Digi Shack. A big congratulations to Toni for her much anticipated Graduation! I hope you got in on her sale yesterday when she was selling her wonderful images at half off.

As most of you are aware, I am a huge fairy fan. And this image found at The Digi Shack is no exception! I bought her when Toni had another sale!!

I created this card with a retirement theme because this sweet, little old fairy looks like she needs retirement. She's so funny, I have to chuckle every time I look into her fairy-dust weary face. The sentiment on the card is supposed to be reminiscent of a wish-granting chant that I wrote (be nice) that goes: Golf and gold watches, gardens and sore knees... Happy Retirement, you can do as you please. Now when I first started playing with this sentiment I was trying really hard to rhyme 'retirement' - did you know there isn't a word that rhymes with retirement? So I had to change it up a bit - I like the results.

I hope I'm not too late to join Toni and her design team and their awesome sketch challenge. If I am, this was still a BLAST to make.

Thanks for stopping by.

She came out so cute Mel! I love the colors you used on her, and I agree. Retirement papers need to be served, bless her heart.
