Sweet n Sassy Sketch Challege

Good Morning,

I hope your week has been good so far. As the days pass by we're getting closer to my birthday. The only reason I am excited about this is that I get to take a Copics coloring class this weekend. I can't wait!!

I love Sweet n Sassy stamps! I don't have very many, two sets and one digi set. I am very excited about their new pricing, they've lowered prices which is awesome!! I bought this set from my friend Gabby who is having to part with many of her stamp sets to pay off some debts that were left after her mother's recent passing. If you're interested in helping my friend, please see the note and link in my sidebar. I was pretty happy to see that she was parting with one of her Sweet n Sassy sets, but I'm sorry that she has to do this at all.

So Gabby, the set arrived today which was perfect timing for me to play along with the sketch challenge posted on The Sweet Stop blog. I really wanted Scripture to be the focal image of the card and since I don't own any verse stamps, I created my own. The verse itself is so reassuring!

I am happy with how the card turned out - I love it's masculinity, yet the dragonflies with their sweet little faces add a bit of feminity to the card and of course I didn't want to get real serious so I added a bit of whimsy with the polka dot ribbon.

I hope you enjoy my card! Thank you for stopping by.

Oh this is a perfect blend of both worlds Mel! I love that SnS set, I am sure Gabby is pleased that it is in good hands now. The verse is perfect, and the color combo works so well with this layout. Great card! ;)

The set is a great mix of image and text. I love your use of it, from your coloring to the paper you chose. An all around great card!!!
