Fabulous Friday

Good Morning Everyone!  I am a little late with my posting today.  Did you all a chance to to visit the Deedee Digis Luau yesterday?  In case you missed it, I will share my cards with you here.

The first card I did I used the new set What's Shakin' - it comes with the fabulous palm tree, the cute teddy bear and 2 sentiments.  I used the sketch from Mercy's Tuesday Sketch (#80) to begin this layout.  I really did something way out of the box here for me and created by own scene.  I'm not an artist by any stretch of the imagination, but I did try to create a sky that was blooming with the sunrise and the sand warming at her feet.

I also wanted dimension so I printed the tree twice and then layered them with different sizes of pop-dots.

This next card was created for my monthly card traders group, which was to do a paper frame.  I'd made a card with this technique before so this one was quick and easy for me.

I Googled pictures of Hyancinths so that I made something fairly realistic.  I found a beautiful picture of the yellow Hyacinth with is the state flower and it had these strokes of red on the petals and then the color pooled in it's center.  I can't color as well as God can, but I think I did pretty OK.

Deedee has a great offer too!  During the entire month of July, purchase just $15 worth of digis and you'll receive Sand-sational for FREE!!  Click on Deedee's Digis to visit the blog.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a super weekend!!
