Tuesday Morning Sketches #209

Good Morning!

I hope you're week is off to a great start.  My Monday was good, pretty productive at work.  So that's a great thing.  I'm actually caught up!

This week's sketch is up and it's the last one of  "classic" sketches.  This week's sponsor is Your Next Stamp and they're having a DT call.  I'm thinking about applying, but I'm not sure I can handle anymore rejection.  I've applied for a couple of teams recently and didn't make it.  I know there are TONS of people out there that are way better than I am, but it still made me sad.  Oh well, we move on.  Anyway, YNS is our sponsor and I am very pleased.  Wait til you see the line up - the girls did a great job with their images.  I didn't get YNS image, because I'm stupid and forgot to request one.  But I still like my card....

I'm still playing with card kits - the flowers I had in my stash.  Love these colors!!

We'll see you over at TMS - I can't wait to see what you make for this challenge.  Have a great Tuesday.

The Pink Elephant Challenge Monday

Hello everyone!  I do hope you had a good weekend.  I am coming out of a funk that I've been in, my uncle passed away on Wednesday and I've just felt very weird and sad.  I had a good weekend of a lot of downtime and just relaxing with my kids.  Hollyanne and I had a mini beauty day, I got my hair cut and she had her eyebrows done and then we went to Target and I bought new bath towels.

Well, this week's challenge is up at The Pink Elephant.  This week's theme is...

Masculine

This is another challenge for me, even though I have two boys, it's still hard for me to create with a masculine theme.  I couldn't find some pictures of my youngest son that I wanted to use, I've been sharing so much of Brendan that I figured I am boring everyone with his graduation that I decided on a different route.  One of my cousins, Matthew, was a good route.  My cousins are HUGE Oakland Raider fans, so I thought I'd give it a shot.  Don't let him fool you either, his tattoos and appearance make him look kinda scary but he's not, he's the biggest teddy bear ever and a man who has the biggest soft spot for his children.

I did pick a picture where he's actually smiling, this softens him up a lot.  Yep, the bottom picture is of his arms with the largest Raiders tattoo I've ever seen.  He has to lay one arm on top of the other for one to see the full tattoo.  He's also since shaved off that scruff from his chin.  Thank goodness!  LOL

Please join us this week for challenge - make a card or do a scrapbook page - it doesn't matter, we love seeing it all.  Have a great Monday!

Delightful Challenges

Hello!  How is everyone.  Really quick post today to share this week's challenge for Delightful Challenges.  This week's challenge is called Make A Wish.  Candles or stars need to be featured in this card.  I have been wanting to create a card like this one for awhile now....

I made birthday candles with scraps of decorative paper and pieces of twine.  Then I added Birthday Sentiments sentiment over top.  This was so easy to create and a lot of fun.

Please head over to Delightful Challenges to see what everyone created to share with you to inspire you and delight you.  Have a great Thursday.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #208

Good Morning!  Happy Tuesday.  I am so happy Monday is over, it wasn't the best Monday.  Not that anything bad happened and it wasn't horrible at work - it was just a blah Monday.

But now it's happy time, because the sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches, we're still re-visiting some previously played ones and having a great time.  Our sponsor this week is CC Designs - my favorite!  So, I'm still delving into the card kits.  I believe I'm the one who hosted a CC Designs card kit swap.  I found little Pixie Pumpkin and some great paper!  I'm guessing that Pixie Pumpkin is a retired image, because I couldn't find it in the store.

I'm certain the paper is an old Fall design from SU! - I love this paper!  So sad I only have the couple of squares that was in the kit.  I created a pumpkin from one of designs and my oval cutters - that was way easy to do.  I am pleased with this card - I hope you like it, too.

We'll see you over at TMS.

The Pink Elephant Monday

Good Morning!  I hope you had a nice weekend.  I did - it was over way too quickly, but then again, aren't they all?

This week's challenge is up at The Pink Elephant and this week we're doing the Monochromatic theme.  I find this a challenge, but a fun one!  I created a page featuring a picture of me and my friend Cathy.  Yes, once in a great while I allow the camera to aimed at me.

They were visiting in Florida summer after we moved here.  It was so great to see her and her family.  They were here just a couple of weeks ago, but we didn't take any pictures.  We looked at a lot of them.  She was sharing their trip on the Disney Cruise and I shared Brendan's graduation book and Hollyanne's recital photos.  I'm hoping Levi will go out for sports this year so we have photo ops of him.  Right now, all I'd get is him gaming.

I used a great sketch from Digi Sketch to create my layout, kept everything in yellow hues with just a smidge of green which magically matched what Cathy and I are wearing.  I designed the layout first then found the picture. What luck!

Have a super Monday and please, join us at The Pink Elephant!

Delightful Challenges Thursday

Good Morning!  I hope everyone is well and happy that the week is on the downhill side.  I'm looking forward to the weekend - I hope to get a lot of crafting done and to pick up a new printer.  Not something I really want to do, but I can't live without a printer.

This week's challenge is ready to go at Delightful Challenges.  This week we're going sparkly with bling or glitter.  I chose metal which is shiny.

So I told you earlier this week that I'm pulling out the card kits.  Well, I found this one that has Changito images in it.  Not a big Changitos fan but I loved the bright paper in this kit and the great embellishments.  The metal paperclip is an "at" symbol which is so cute!  I'm translating this one an "a" - like a birthday girl.  OK so that only works in my head, but hey, the card is still cute.

I'm also not a huge fan of bright colors like this simply because I don't work well with them, but I'm pretty pleased with this card.  I am using the sketch from this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch (again, without the twist).

I do hope you'll join us at Delightful Challenges.  This week, we're sponsored by

Tuesday Morning Sketches #207

Good Morning everyone,

It's such a lovely day today - know why? Because it's Tuesday and that means we have a new sketch, well, this one is old because we're remembering a previous sketch.  And we have a great sponsor - My Creative Classroom is with us and offering a pretty sweet prize.

This week it's the Judged Challenge week, so Angela said we needed to play with animal images.  OK!  I'm in trouble - I don't have many of these types of stamps and I can't print digi's at the moment because I broke my printer.  Yep!  The one I just got a few months ago.  Uh, yeah, it didn't appreciate being dropped in the move.  But aside from the printer woes, what was I going to do for this challenge.  Well, a very long time ago I used to do a lot of swaps on Splitcoast - love the card kit swaps.  I have TONS of kits!  So it was time I went through them and used them.  This is what I came up with for my card thanks to a kit from swapper Linda Palmer.

I haven't played with Penny Black hedgies in forever!  And it's perfect for the Christmas in July sale My Creative Classroom has going on.

I also created this scrapbook page minus the twist....

This is Hollyanne in the Jazz costume - Kansas City was the song they danced to.  I love how this turned out!

Thanks for visiting me today and I do look forward to you playing along with us this week.

The Pink Elephant Monday Challenge

Good Morning!

I hope everyone had a great weekend.  I didn't do too much, which I'll regret later, but it was kind of nice to just do nothing.  I think I am finally on the mend, the cough is still bad enough that I get spells of uncontrollable coughing fits that cuts my air off but they are fewer and farther between.  Yay!

This week's challenge is up at The Pink Elephant and this week's we're making....

Girls Birthday

This page I made of Hollyanne's friend Christina's birthday party.

I kept this pretty simple but I did play around with more of the embellishments and trying a few different things.  I still have so much more to learn to creating amazing scrapbook pages with MyMemories Suite Software and maybe one weekend instead of doing nothing, I'll work more on scrapbook pages.

Enjoy your Monday and please come join us!

Delightful Challenges Thursday - I'm back!

Good Morning friends,

There is still so much I need to do on my blog to tell you all that I am back on the team for Delightful Challenges.  With getting moved and settled and just being plain, flat on my back tired, I haven't had time to get my blog together.

But anyway, this week's challenge is up and this week we're playing with fringe: fabric or patterned paper...

So I chose Relax Barnaby (colored) image to play with and to pull out some old, but loved Stampin' Up! decorative paper.  I am also featuring one of the sketches from Tuesday Morning Sketches this week, too.  And my fringe-y element is the fringed out Baker's Twine in the buttons.

This week's challenge is sponsored by my sweet friend Cindy at...

I also created a scrapbook page using this image to show you just how easy it is to use digital stamps and papers in the MyMemories Suite software.

Isn't he cute on a scrapbook page?

Have a great Thursday!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #206 - TMS is 4 YEARS OLD!

Good Morning TMS friends.  I have been looking forward to today for such a long time now.  I have been planning and plotting for this day - Tuesday Morning Sketches is having a birthday.  It's 4 years old!  I cannot believe I have had the honor of challenging you and inspiring you for 4 years.  It's been such great fun.

There are 4 sketches to play with and I am sponsoring.  I am finally doing a give-away of MyMemories Suite Software.  I love this - I love digital scrapbooking.  Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy playing with paper and embellishments, but this is a whole new side to the scrapbooking life.

I created this page in about 5 minutes!  This software is so easy to use.  I lifted the Dazzlers banner from their {hideous} website (someone needs to fix it!) and added it as a picture to the page.  Using a couple of the pre-loaded papers and embellishments and my sketch - this went together so quickly!  Now it's not as fancy as I've seen scrapbook pages get - but my daughter loved it and that's all that counts.  This is the beginning of her life as a Seminole High School Dazzler - an award winning dance team.

You have a chance to win this software if you join the TMS challenge this week.  But if you'd rather just get your hands on this software, please use my coupon code (in the upper right hand corner of my sidebar) for $10 off.  It's priced reasonably at $39.97 but why not pick it up for $29.97 and when you do you'll also receive 2 coupons - one for $10 to use in the MyMemories store for kits, embellishments, word art and more and a FREE photobook.  Trust me, they are gorgeous!!

So please, head on over to the TMS blog to play along with our birthday celebration and a chance to win this fabulous software.

The Pink Elephant Challenge Monday

Good Morning!  Happy Monday to you.  I hope you had a great weekend.  I sure did - finally got settled into the new house and created a craft space for myself.  I think it'll probably need a bit of tweaking as I start back to work in it.  Still have pictures to hang on the walls and a few furniture pieces that I wish to procure (in time) but I'm feeling a bit at home.

This week's challenge at The Pink Elephant is....

Woodgrain

So this was an interesting challenge - easy for a card, harder for a scrapbook page.  I am particularly proud of this page.

Never did I think I could take something as rugged as woodgrain and soften for 3 pretty girls.  I love how this turned out!  This is my daughter and her friends Madi and Ashley waiting to have their recital pictures taken in their lyrical costumes.

I used MyMemories Suite software with the designer pack called Woodland Walk.

We'll see you over at The Pink Elephant.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #205

Good Morning everyone,

I hope you're doing well.  I need to keep my post short and sweet - it's actually nearly 10:00 pm Monday night as I get this post ready, I'm feeling horrible - coughing my fool head off!  I need to get to bed.

But fast forward - it's morning and it's Tuesday and the new sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's an easy one.  Mainly because you pretty much had the practice with one similar last week.  Yep - I did not do a good job mixing up the stash of sketches I have.  Oops!  But this week we're sponsored by Doodle Pantry (yay!) and I am featuring a rather patriotic card considering this week is Independence Day for us in the USA.

The star paper actually is Christmas paper - but it worked great for this red, white and blue patriotic card.  The image is pre-colored Patchwork Star.

Please head on over to TMS to play along with us!

The Pink Elephant Monday

Hello!  No this is not deja vu - this is actually a repost of 6/17 - I messed up!  I posted the wrong Pink Elephant Challenge.  This week, it's another photo inspiration.  Sorry for the mix up.  So here's my post again.... revised.

Good Morning!  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  I'm sick, I'm exhausted but I am so happy that we got the house and we're all moved in.  Not settled just yet - but that's a process for a healthier day.  I've had a cough for 2 weeks now.  I am allergic to cardboard boxes (of all things) and they've been ever present for 2 weeks and so has the dust.  Ugh!  I hope I'll be on the mend soon - as soon as all the unpacking is done.

This week's challenge is up at The Pink Elephant and this week are being challenged by a photo inspiration.  Be sure to check out the blog for this inspiring photo!  Stars, stripes and cold drinks.  It says summer, 4th of July cookout, just enjoying the lovely outdoors.  So I am using my son's 5th grade field day photos.  I am also using a great sketch from Sketches in Thyme.

I used the 4th of July paper pack that came with the MyMemories Suite software.  I'm still discovering what all came in that download.  There are tons of papers and embellishments, word art and cool stuff to play with.

Have a super Monday!
