Thursdays with Lindsay

Good Morning,

I am a late poster this morning! Good grief!! Let me just say that having a teenager sometimes throws things off a bit.

I have a great image to share with you from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. I also participated in a few challenges along with it. I hope you like my card.

First off, the image, this is Owl on Branch and is available for purchase here. And great news!! Remember Lindsay was running a sale last month, spend $5 get a stamp free? Well it's going to be sticking around awhile! Whoo-hoo! What a great way to build your collection of awesome digi-stamps quickly and saving money.

I colored the image with prismacolor markers (Buff, Cinnamon Toast, Light Olive, Avocado, Dark Umber and Goldenrod). I used primas and bling from K&Company and cream colored ribbon to embellish. The sentiment I made up myself, corny, I know.

Don't forget to visit the other design team members, they are all linked in my sidebar, one of us has a free digi and it is a great image!

Now for the challenges I participated in...

1) Sweet Sketch Wednesday - it's speaks for itself. Great sketch!
2) Digital Tuesday Challenge - a digi of course, but add some bling.
3) Color Throwdown - this was a challenge for me!! Really Rust, Pumpkin Pie, Blush Blossom and Basic Gray. Colors I use, but never together. They worked.

Thanks for visiting me today. It's always a pleasure.

Sweet n Sassy Sketch Challege

Good Morning,

I hope your week has been good so far. As the days pass by we're getting closer to my birthday. The only reason I am excited about this is that I get to take a Copics coloring class this weekend. I can't wait!!

I love Sweet n Sassy stamps! I don't have very many, two sets and one digi set. I am very excited about their new pricing, they've lowered prices which is awesome!! I bought this set from my friend Gabby who is having to part with many of her stamp sets to pay off some debts that were left after her mother's recent passing. If you're interested in helping my friend, please see the note and link in my sidebar. I was pretty happy to see that she was parting with one of her Sweet n Sassy sets, but I'm sorry that she has to do this at all.

So Gabby, the set arrived today which was perfect timing for me to play along with the sketch challenge posted on The Sweet Stop blog. I really wanted Scripture to be the focal image of the card and since I don't own any verse stamps, I created my own. The verse itself is so reassuring!

I am happy with how the card turned out - I love it's masculinity, yet the dragonflies with their sweet little faces add a bit of feminity to the card and of course I didn't want to get real serious so I added a bit of whimsy with the polka dot ribbon.

I hope you enjoy my card! Thank you for stopping by.

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Good Morning Everyone,

I think we've recuperated from the flight ordeal and not enough sleep. I don't have anything different to show you, meaning anything separate from what I made for Tuesday Morning Sketches. Yesterday was not a day for the craftroom, it was a day to spend with my hubby and my kids.

But I have posted a new sketch and some fabulous cards from the design team on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog and I hope to see you over there. This is the card I made using an adorable image from The Digi Shack. This little guy is sooo sweet.

Just a quickie post today - I have to work on some Design Team stuff and there are some other fabulous challenges out there that I have to play along with!!

Thanks for stopping by today!

MyGrafico Monday Challenge

Oh my goodness I am a ditz!! No. I'm not - I just need more coffee or sleep. LOL I almost forgot that I have to post my very first Design Team Challenge assignment for MyGrafico Challenge blog. This week's challenge theme is Baby. Please visit the blog to see the great projects Martha and the design team made. You can also check out their blogs, too, they are linked in the sidebar.

This is my first attempt ever at a bib card - it's pretty cute. I picked up this paper at Michaels, Tres Jolie and I just love it. The bear and blocks are part of the awesome set from MyGrafico. Digi-sets are so affordable and they also have lots of freebies.

Again, thanks for stopping by today. I always appreciate and look forward to your visit.

My Apologies...

I am so sorry, I'm supposed to have a post today for Sunshine Monday and I don't. My husband has been away to Scotland for a week and a half and was to return yesterday afternoon. His flight got into Newark around Noon as scheduled and then he was to return to DC around 2pm. To make a very long, stressful story short - we finally got home with him last night about midnight. I was so upset about his flight being postponed about 7 times that I just wasn't able to create.

This is one of the many beautiful pictures he took. We will be doing an online photo album of his trip and will be sharing with friends and family. It needs captions though.

Thanks for stopping by - check back later today, hopefully I'll get some creativity time.

Happy Anyaversary!!

It is so exciting to be a part of this spectacular blog hop!!

I chose to use Annika from the Wild Sprouts collection. I am so proud that it was my suggestion that was picked to name that collection and I am so very excited about the two new additions to it. Have you seen Megan and Bree? OH MY GOODNESS - they are adorable.

I used Prismacolor markers to color her and the decorative paper is American Crafts. I chose a clean and simple layout to the card. I drew in a bow to make it appear that she is carrying birthday gifts, instead of books.

And this is my daughter's card. She chose her very favorite Miss Anya stamp.

Thanks for stopping by on your way through this birthday bash! We appreciate your visit.

Friday Feature

It love Friday! Now that I am a SAHM, weekends don't seem to have the same meaning. However, I love Friday because its my chance to show off my daughter's talent a little bit and I get to play along with some challenges for the heck of it.

Today Hollyanne and I decided it was a pink and brown day. What a fabulous color combo!!

This card is so grown up for her! Remember last week I featured a top swivel card with a MyGrafico image? She had to try it for herself. She used one of the new Unity stamps and my Prismacolor markers.

My card will be a separate post below this one.
