Good Morning! It's Tuesday! Yay! I really love the sketch that Jessi created for us this week. I have an obsession with twine... hoarding it. I never use it. My sister gave me a gift certificate for Sweet n Sassy for my birthday on year to buy every color of twine they offered... and I did (just about). I only use bits of it here and there. It looks so pretty in my collection.
But here's the card I created using A Stamp of Friendship digi by our sponsor, Your Next Stamp. The image itself has the stamp with the stamp edge, but I cut that part off and cut a stamp shape mat because I really wanted a metallic edge. I embossed the mat with gold and then mounted the image to that. I love how it turned out.
The image also has a button in the design, but I colored it and then adhered a button over top, using a bit of twine. I hope you like it!
Now, come join us at TMS.

Designs on Cloud 9 - Feathers!
Hello - I was supposed to put this up on my own blog yesterday, oh well, I managed to get it posted to the DC9 blog and FB page. But I have this really pretty card to share that I created using the Feathers cut file by Designs on Cloud 9. I actually saw this card idea on Pintrest and had to CASE it.
I actually tried to link the inspiration card, but couldn't find it again on Pintrest. However, my other supplies are burlap paper, ruffled muslin (Recollections), natural twine, buttons and this really cool wood plank paper. It's so natural!
I hope you like it. Thanks for looking!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #259
Good Morning TMS Friends! I am so happy that Tuesday is here because I really love this week's sketch and I can't wait to show you the card I created with it. This week's sponsor is DRS Designs - LOVE THEM!
I played with a stamp called Butterfly on Eggs, but this one happens to be the digital version. I love digis, don't get me wrong, there's still nothing quite like the feeling of a stamp block in your hand, but digis give you a versatility that you just don't {necessarily} get with stamps. I printed this butterfly but before I did, I flipped it. The stamp will have the butterfly body facing the left rather than the right. I knew that I wanted to create a shaker card and was going to incorporate the egg images but I just couldn't wrap my mind around it. So this is what I came up with.
I love the earth tones against the stark white elements. I also love the sepia tones of the butterfly. Ta da - here's my shaker card. I filled it with half back pearls, half back rhinestones and sequins. I also picked up this jar of flowers on clearance at Michael's that had that cool hairpin in it. I added the twine and glued it on.
Then shake it a bit to reveal it's message! Cool right? I love love love this! Please head on over to the TMS blog and join us!

Silhouette Sunday.... on Monday
Good Morning! Happy Monday. I had a fantastic weekend. The kids were gone with their Dad to Clearwater and I had the house to myself. I watched movies, played at my craft table and treated myself to sushi. It was a good weekend. I always miss my kids but sometimes I just have to have some time to myself every now and then.
So this should've been posted yesterday but didn't get it photographed until last night. This is an easy project for organizing your washi tapes and small ribbon spools. The cut file is by Jamie Lane Designs and it's just such a practical use. No over the top decorations. Easy to put together and just so fabulous....
Simple box base with the slotted insert. I glued the inside slotted piece to the box base, but I suppose that's optional. I have one wider roll of washi that isn't in here because it just occurred to me that I can snip out the cross bar on those last two slots and I'll have a space for it.
I've been on a mission to re-organize my stuff and maybe get rid of stuff I don't use. My mission continues...
Have a great Monday!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #258
Good Morning! I do hope everyone is well. This week's sketch is up on the TMS blog and it's by Debbie. Such a fun sketch! We're also sponsored by My Besties. Everyone is familiar with these big-eyed cuties and I certainly had a ton of fun creating a card with one.
So I've been scoring some pretty good deals lately. I picked up a 6x6 Washi Tape pack for $3 on clearance at Hobby Lobby last week when I took Hollyanne to camp. On the way back from camp, we stopped at JoAnn's where I picked up the dies in the upper left hand corner for 97 cents each and the swirly border I got from MFT Stamps during their sale on dies. I think I paid $2 or $3 for it. I am really pleased with how my card turned out. There's texture, sparkle and whimsy. What else can it possibly need?
Head on over to the TMS blog to play along with us and to feast your eyes on the super fantabulous samples created by my amazing team!

Floating on Cloud Nine Friday - Designs on Cloud 9
Hello Everyone! Guess what? I am one of the newest DT Members of Designs on Cloud 9. I am so super stoked to be on this team. As you all know, my sister gave me a Silhouette Portrait for Christmas and it was love at first sight! I am really happy that I have the opportunity to play with my machine and use these super cute cut files.
My card is an easel card featuring Spring Birdhouses. I enlarged the birdhouse shape quite a bit so it nearly created the entire front of A2 sized card. I cut the little bird out twice. My only regret, I should've used the other little bird in the set rather than the same one. But all in all, it's a perfect "Welcome Home" card to give someone who maybe just moved or perhaps has returned home after an extended stay away.
My card also features a label from Artisan Labels. I created the greeting on my computer and printed it out on card stock and then cut out using an oval cutter.
I hope you enjoy my easel card and don't forget to pick up this week's freebie! Happy Friday!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #257
Good Morning! Happy Tuesday. The sketch is up on the TMS blog and we're ready to play. It's also time for the Judged Challenge. The twist is a color combo of Blue, Green and Black. This week is sponsored by Patti Rowe, CTMH Independent Demonstrator. My card features a little birthday stamp, some papers and embellishments that she gave me the last time she sponsored. Sadly, it's almost all gone now.
I actually have a confession to make. When I made this card I completely forgot about the twist. But I think I got a little lucky. The background is a bluish teal, the mat behind the focal image is chartreuse (a funny shade of green) and the sequins are black. I get by with the skin of my teeth.

Silhouette Sunday
Hello! Happy Sunday. I hope everyone is enjoying a nice holiday weekend. It's been really stormy all weekend which is great for reading, napping and card making.
This week's Sunday Silhouette share is an easy easel card by Lori Whitlock. The challenge on her blog is a shaped card. This card is so easy, it literally only took minutes to make. 3 cuts on Portrait, a little bit of glue and a few brads and it's done....
I cut the base out of Bravo Burgundy and embossed the top layer with the Textile embossing folder by Cuttlebug. I cut the smaller butterfly out of a paper stack I picked up on clearance at Hobby Lobby called Botanical Collection by Prima. I inked the edged with Bravo Burgundy ink and then added some glimmer with the Wink of Stella clear glitter brush. Um... it actually smears the ink. I sort like how it looked, but just a word of caution. I added the brads in the pre-cut holes and then added a couple more pearls to finish off the butterfly.
Thanks for stopping by - please leave a comment that you were here.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #256
Good Morning! The sketch is up and ready for you to play along with us at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This week is sponsored by Sweet n Sassy Stamps. Yay! So my card features one of my favorite stamp sets, Wildflowers. I love the image and the greetings!
So I don't know if I've shared that I've had a recent interest in watercolor. I've been watching lots of videos by Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire on You Tube. Got me a set of Gelatos at 40% off and I scored big on Distress Inks from Blitsy. So let the fun begin right? Well, I'm still learning. Tell me what you think....
The paper I used is from one of my favorite mat stacks called Linen Closet. I love these colors. Then I took a piece of Strathmore Watercolor paper and spritzed it with water. Using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and a blender tool I applied a wash of color. I dried it a bit with my heat tool and then pounced on a bit more color with the still wet blender tool. I dried it slightly and then inked my stamp with the same color and stamped. Since the paper was still a little wet the ink reacted with the color giving me the blurry, spread out look. I dried it completely and stamped again just to get a bit more intensity on the color. I didn't line up the stamp perfectly for the 2nd stamping and I really like how it made the stems look a bit wider. Overall, I am really happy with my results.
So, I hope I inspired you to try something new - I may have even hinted to a twist that might be coming in the future.
Have a great Tuesday and we'll see you over at TMS.
