Tuesday Morning Sketches #586

Hello!  Happy Tuesday!  It's that time of the year for Tuesday Morning Sketches - it's time for our Annual Anything Goes challenge.

My project is four of the most adorable 3D snowglobe cards by Lori Whitlock...

These are the cards I made to send to my family.  These are so cute - she has a huge line of these designs and I was just so happy that I could cut them using my Silhouette Cameo (8x12 mat).   It's the only electronic cutter I can get to connect to my computer, after awhile.

The first one was a little challenging to put together, but after one, the rest was really easy!

I sent the Gnome to my sister Karin.

This one my Aunt Nancy got.  She said, that looks just like the truck Grandpa had!

My sister Theresa got this one - she loves penguins!

Last, but not least, this one my Momma got.  She called me late at night to tell me how much she loved it!

Now, do you all see the tree behind the cards?  I made it and shared it several years ago.  It's a design by SVG Cuts.  This white tree, I call the Lopez tree.  As I shared last week, my biological father died from COVID on the 7th of December and he was buried on the 17th.  In truth, he was not special to me.  I don't have any happy memories with him.  But when we were little, I do remember spending Christmas with him and his family.  They had a white Christmas tree (actually, it might have been silver).  Then there was this rotating plate that was segmented by 4 for 4 colors with a light behind it.  So as it rotated the tree would be blue, red, yellow and green.  My half-brother and I would lay on the floor practically under that tree and watch it change colors for hours.  So I made the tree to represent that memory, on the inside I have a battery operated tealight that changes colors.

I hope you enjoyed my post, I would love to hear from here.  Please leave a comment.  After that, please head on over to the TMS blog to join in the fun and leave the team some love.

Also, let me wish you a very Merry Christmas and I hope 2021 is great year for you!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #585

Hello! Thank you so much for stopping by.  The last sketch of 2020 is posted on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog. This one is a lot of fun and don't let it block your creativity.  These are just elements and you can interpret them how you want.

My cards features paper and stickers from the Cozy Christmas collection by Echo Park.  I'm going to be honest here, I made these two cards from the left over paper that was sitting on my desk and the sheet of stickers that came in the paper pack.  Might as well put them to good use, right?

I pulled out some square dies (Tonic Studios), wonky stitched rectangle die (Kat Scrapiness) and inside scallop rectangle die (Pink and Main) to make my "box" elements.  Places some of the stickers for the stars elements and viola, super easy card!

I needed two.... So I rearranged the elements and bit and grabbed some more stickers.  Another easy card!

I do hope you'll join us this week.  Head on over to the TMS blog, leave some love and join in the fun.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #584

Hello!  Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today.  I do appreciate your visit.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning  Sketches, this one is by Debbie.  It's a really great sketch, I had a lot of fun using it.

My card features another stitched Christmas tree from the November Small DOM from Spellbinders.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp and the paper is Cozy Christmas from Echo Park.

Isn't this sweet - I love this paper.  It's got a classic Christmas look and it works so well with this tree.  The tag die is from Spellbinders and I think it came from an old card kit that I got on sale.

Thanks again for your visit and we'll see you over at the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog.  Head on over and leave the team some love.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #583

Hello!  Thank you all for stopping by blog today.  The latest sketch is posted on Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's a little similar to the one we just did.  I wasn't careful when I put them in the line up to break up similar shapes and orientations but every now and then, I get confused.

My card features the Monthly Mini-Delight stamp/die set from Altenew.  I'm not sure why I wanted this polar bear but I love it!

It also features the wonky stitch oval die from Kat Scrapiness and the paper is Wintertime by Echo Park.  It was still on my desk so thought I'd just use it again.   The scallop is from a set of scallop borders from Pink and Main.  I finished it off with big Nuvo Drops.  They are a little messed up because I'm a dummy and thought moving it before it was dry was a good idea.

I do hope you'll join us for the challenge this week but be sure to stop by the TMS blog to leave some love the team.  We'll see you over there....
