Tuesday Morning Sketches #713

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's so easy, you're going to use this one over and over.

My card features a die from the Message in a Bottle Craft Kit from Tonic Studios.  It's a girly sailboat!

I'm using up bits and pieces of the paper pad I got to participate in Kendra's Card Sketches challenge the 1st quarter of the year.  Still haven't finished that set of cards.  But this card was so fun using up some scraps and doing some paper piecing.  Quick and easy note card, that's the ticket for this week!

Hope to see you over at the TMS blog.  Join in the fun and leave some love for the team.

Color My Heart Color Dare #554

Hello!  Thank you for your visit.  This week's Color My Heart Color Dare #554 is up and ready to go!

This is another TicTacToe challenge.  My card features Sundance, Avocado and Honey Butter.  I was actually really lucky to have all these great colors in this paper that I've had in my stash for a long time.

I had seen this type of card fold on Pinterest and thought I'd give it a go - I am happy with how it turned out, it was a lot of fun to put together.  I die cut some different foliage dies (meaning not from the same die sets) for my focal images and the sentiment from another great die set.  This is letting the paper do the work... almost.

Please come join in the fun!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #712

Hello!  Thank you so much for stopping by.  I appreciate your visit and would appreciate a comment from you.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's a super easy sketch by Debbie.

My card features the Sew Crafty Collection from Tonic Studios.  I did link it because it's still available and it's the greatest set!  You get dies, stamps and pretty papers for $15!  What a steal!

This was such an easy card - and since I cut two pieces of paper, I made two cards!  Sew quick (see what I did there! LOL) and just the cutest!  I die the elements from different specialty papers except the sewing machine.  Look at those scissors!  The spool I wrapped some embroidery floss and then tucked in the pin and needle.

While I was playing with this set, but not this sketch, I made this card, too....

This one I die cut the safety pin and button.  This die set, alone is worth way more than $15 - you get 40 dies!!  FORTY!

Okay - well thanks again for stopping by and please head on over to the TMS blog and join us!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #711

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by.  I appreciate your visiting.  The sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and the team really did a great job.  Be sure to go over there to join us at leave them some love!  But before you go, I made a couple of cards to share with you.

This first card features many Spellbinders dies from different sets.  Some of the dies I've had for ages but I was all about use what you have, old in a new way, etch.  So I cut the tree branch from dark brown card stock twice and added an additional branch to the main long one.  I cut leaves from another set.  The birdhouse I made by die cutting a tag die and the roof is from another tiny frame die and I cut a circle in the middle.  The bird is from the same die set as the branch.  I also cut out a label which in its original form is longer.  I slid the die down and cut again to make a smaller sign for my sentiment.  I adhered all this to a panel that I inked up the embossing folder with Distress Oxide ink and then ran through my die cut machine.  Pretty cute, if I say so myself.

This second card actually I made first.  I have a new co-worker, he's very young (my daughter's age) and I've been mentoring him, training him.  Every day he sends me a panda bear gif, so I made this card with him in mind.

This is a cut file from the Silhouette Design Store and yes, it really is supposed to look like this.  He's so cute!!  The background I made by laying down a leaf stencil and spraying with green Shimmer Spray from Tonic Studios.  The sentiment I made on my computer.  In hindsight, I probably should have scaled the bear down a bit more than I did, but too small and you lose some details in the cut file.  Oh well, it's a cute notecard anyway.

Okay - now you can head to the TMS blog.  See you there!

Color My Heart Color Dare #552

Hello!  Thank you for your visit.  This week's Color My Heart Color Dare #552 is a Double Trouble collaboration.  And we are getting ready for summer!!  So pull out those brights!

My card features a cut file from Lori Whitlock.  I had my Silhouette Cameo out and was cutting up all kinds of stuff.  This card was too fun and so simple!  What a great card to use for a pool party invitation.

For the flip flops, I printed some brightly colored, summer vibe digital paper and then cut them out on my Cameo.  This is a fun 5x7 shaped card.  You can't tell in this picture, but I did cover the sunglasses in embossing ink and then applied 2 layers of clear embossing powder to make them shiny.  The flower and leaves I cut from white card stock and then colored them with ink.  There's a whole lot of dimension using foam squares.

Are you ready for beach weather?!  We'll see you over at the challenge blog.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #710

Hello! Thank you for stopping by.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's a nice sketch - I liked it.

My card... Well this is an installment of the alphabet challenge I'm doing with my card traders group.  Letter R.

R is for rustic, Rusty Hinge Distress Oxide ink, recycled material, emboss resist and relax.  My card features a stamp from Simon Says Stamp that I heat embossed with white powder and then colored the image with Rusty Hinge and Vintage Photo inks.  I did put another color in there but ultimately cut that portion off.  I embossed a piece of Kraft card stock with a woodgrain cover die from Hero Arts.  To use it as a die is too deep but with a rubber mat to emboss is perfect.  I also pulled apart a piece of an Amazon box to get the corrugated strips.  The pieces behind the focal image is a die from Tonic Studios.

I love how this card turned out and it looks even better in person!  I do hope you'll join us for the challenge.  See you over at the TMS blog.  Leave the team some love!
