Tuesday Morning Sketches #599

Hello! Thank you so much for stopping by.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's another great one by Andrea.

My card was actually inspired by former DT member but current friend, Lisa Peronto.  She posted this adorable Easter card on her Facebook page and I told her I absolutely had to CASE this card.  So here's my version of Lisa's bunny card.

My son smiled from ear to ear and then said, "Mom it's really cute but kinda crazy."  I said that is exactly what I was going for!  I think this bunny came out adorable!  I used a heart die from Spellbinders, circle dies from MFT, shadow dies from CC Designs, pansy die (for bow) and heart die from Pink and Main.  The paper is also from Pink and Main called Spring Fling.

This card was so much fun to make.  Lisa, I hope I did you proud!  Okay, we'll see you over at the TMS blog!  Come join in the fun and leave some love for the team.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #598

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by.  I appreciated your visit.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's...  a little challenging, but not too hard.

My card features the latest Mini Delight from Altenew called Bloom Smile.  This little layered flower is so pretty.  This inspiration for this card is actually a vinyl sticker that I have on my wall calendar.  The colors are spot on.

So I did generational stamping on this card.  I used Kelly Purkey inks. These inks don't have name colors on them, but they match that vinyl sticker very well.  My card also uses a sentiment stamp from the CTMH set called Everyday Magic, also some little images.  I added the scallops from the same set.  Honestly, they'd be better left off, but that was the sketch.  I did make two additional cards and left them off, and if I'm honest again, I felt like something was missing.  So.....

Anyway, I really wanted colored card stock but didn't have the right color.  So what do we stampers do?  We make it.  I used Carved Pumpkin Oxide ink to color the card base and I loved the results.

Please head on over to the TMS blog to join the fun and leave the team some love.  Thanks again for your visit.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #597

Hello!  Thanks for stopping by.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's a fun, easy sketch by Andrea.

My card features the Love Jar bundle by Queen & Co.  This bundle is adorable and I don't use it nearly enough.  I'm not a fan of high profile dimension in cards because mailing becomes challenging but when I know I'm going to hand deliver a card, then I go for it.  The only inspiration for this card is that I need to use my stuff!

This is cute, right?  I love the paper that came in the bundle - it's so pretty in all the pastels.  So very Spring!  I used some mirror card for the lid, which there is a coordinating stamp set (and it could've come in the bundle, I just don't remember) that is flowers and stems that you can put "inside" the jar.  I think I made a card like that some time ago.

Well, I hope you like this card and it inspires you to look at the sketch a little less literal (but literal is okay, too).  We'll see you over at the TMS blog and be sure to leave some love for the team.  They deserve it.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #596

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by.  I do appreciate your visit.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  It's a fun one, a super easy one and I think it'll be a favorite.

With my card shares, I want to share what inspires me.  This week's card was inspired by Hobby Lobby clearance tags.

I mean, would you be able to pass these up?  I sure couldn't!  And it so happens this doily die worked great for this sketch. So here's my card...

I cut half the doily pieces from cream colored card stock - the die is called Pointed Harmony Doily.  I really did it to just practice and it just worked!  I pulled in the other colors and went with it.  The lighter blue flag I used the Twinkle Lights Glimmer plate and some gold foil that's a bit holographic.  Then I've had this vellum which, if I remember correctly, is mermaid scales that I picked up last year or so at Hobby Lobby.  The sentiment is from CTMH called Everyday Magic.

So it wasn't until Sunday evening when I created this post that I realized I never posted last week's Tuesday Morning Sketches card.  If you were on the TMS blog, saw it there.  But I wanted to share it with you just so I can tell you how this card was inspired.  Honestly, it was inspired by the raspberry and orange sherbet my son brought home.  I don't play with my Oxide inks nearly enough.  Isn't this pretty?  And so very cheery.

Okay well thanks again for stopping by and we'll see at Tuesday Morning Sketches.
