Tuesday Morning Sketches #527

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and this one is by Andrea.  It's a lot of fun and I think you'll enjoy using it, too.

My card features Pink and Main.  The Mum die, Take Flight 2 paper pad, Thinking of You Always stamp set (sentiment only) and Rainbow Glossy Dots.  The card base is More Mustard by SU!.

I cut each layer of the flower twice so that it creates a fuller flower.  I did adhere to the card using dimensional adhesive.

I hope to see you over at the TMS blog. Be sure to stop by to leave some love to the team.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #526

Hi!  Thank you for your visit. The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  LJ created this one and it's a lot of fun.  I actually drew it for her based on a card she created and I honestly didn't do the greatest job.  But the team made some really great samples that I'm sure you're going to draw inspiration from.

My card - well, when I looked at the sketch I couldn't get Christmas out of my head for an idea.  This is a really easy card and really shows off some lovely paper.

My card uses a Wintertime paper pack by Echo Park and stamps from Simon Says Stamps.  The slopes are dies from Kat Scrappiness and the tag dies are from Pink and Main.  The ribbon was from my sister's stash that she sent me years ago.

As I said, this is a really simple card that went together so quickly and easily.

I hope to see you over at the TMS blog - please be sure to leave some love for the team.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #525

Hi!  Thanks for stopping by.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's a fun one.  I enjoyed working with it!

My card features stamps from Mandala Maker by GinaK and sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.  We all have our "crafty idols" right?  Some hang on to every word and every technique by Jennifer McGuire or Kristina Werner.  And while these ladies are talented, I find my inspiration from Yana Smakula.  She did a video or two where she is coloring on colored cards stock using her Copics.  Well, I thought it was time to give it a try.

This card took hours!  It took some time to stamp that one flower over and over and then to color it.  But I enjoyed this process so much!  This is gorgeous and screams Morocco to me.  I love it.   I wanted Fall, while I still feel that, too, I was instantly transported to my favorite Moroccan restaurant in Denver.

I realized when I was photographing my card that I forgot the ribbon element across the bottom of the focal point.  Oops!  But honestly, I wouldn't change a thing.

Hope to see you at TMS and please don't forget to leave the team some love.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #524

Hello.  Thank you for dropping by!  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's a lot of fun.  It is a little challenging, but I think you'll like it.

My card features dies from Spellbinders and paper that I've had in my stash for a while.  I don't know where it came from, maybe from a Simon Says Stamp kit but I really don't remember.

The base of card is made from this lovely light gray card stock I got from Papertrey Ink.  I've hardly used it and I don't know why!  The sentiment stamp and the flower (that you cannot see beneath my watermark) are dies from Spellbinders and the rectangle dies are from Pink and Main.  I added a touch of Nuvo Drops.

We'll see you all over at the TMS blog.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #523

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  This one is by Andrea and has so much design possibility.

My card features a birthday set by Simon Says Stamp and a paper matstack from DCWV called Linen Closet that I'd had in my stash for  a pretty long time.  I love how this turned out but I must admit it took me 3 times to stamp out these balloons before I was happy with the color and impression.

I stamped the balloons using Soft Pool ink by Hero Arts.  I did use my MISTI and double - maybe even triple stamped the balloons.  The outline of the balloons and the bow/strings I used Smoke ink by Simon Says Stamp.  The sentiment was stamped with Intense Black ink also by Simon.

The corner pieces I die cut using dies from Concord and 9th.

I hope to see you over at the TMS blog and that you'll join us.  Please be sure to leave the team comments and I'd love if you left me one, even if you just say hello.
