Tuesday Morning Sketches #574

 Hello!  Thank you so much for stopping by.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and this one is brought to us by Andrea.  I really struggled with what to make.  I started on one card and it ended up in the trash.  But I am pretty happy with what I did make.

This card features an old kit from Simon Says Stamp, Bee Yourself....

Everything I used came in that kit except the stitched circle dies which are by Pink & Main.  Remember this fun technique?  I used the dies to make a window in the card.  I used some embroidery floss to suspend the bee in the window.

Cute right?  The paper is from Honey Bee Stamps and the stamp set is just cute!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #573

 Hello!  Thank you for stopping by, I do appreciate your visit.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning  Sketches and it's an interesting one.  I don't anyone to get stuck on the design - they are just elements and they can be interpreted however you wish.

So for my card, giving credit where it's due, is solely inspired by Yana Smakula.  She's been featuring white flowers on her blog and YouTube and I just had to try.  Yana is one in the crafting industry I look up to.  There's not many.  She just seems very genuine to me.

I love how my card turned out.  It's not without it's mistakes, but all in all, it makes me happy and I hope it inspires you.

My card features a beautiful stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.  I got it some time back in a monthly kit and I don't get those much anymore because I found I use them less and less.  But Sunday I felt like trying something new and playing with my stamps and copics.  It took me a few hours to make this card, but again, so happy with the results.  The dies are from the May '20 Large DOM from Spellbinders.

It also features this beautiful silver paper that I got from Simon - I think it's a hologram pack.  I love the look of brushed silver paper.  This is layered on the same navy blue card stock I used.

I'm not Yana Smakula, but I hope I learned from her and will do her proud should she see my card.  I also hope to see you over at the TMS blog to join our challenge.  Also, while you're there leave some love for the team.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #572

 Hello!  Thanks so much for stopping, I do love it when you visit.  Please leave me a comment and let me know you were here.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and this one is by Debbie.  It's a little similar to what we just had but it has some great differences.

My card features the newest Glimmer of the Month set from Spellbinders, aptly named Have a Colorful Day.  This also features a sentiment from a Small Die of the Month set which was my very first monthly subscription set I got from Spellbinders.  I love this set and don't use it often enough.

My base is Sky View card stock from Raisin Boat (I sure wish they were still around).  I embossed it with Cloudy Sky embossing folder from Darice.  Then using the die I cut the white layer and using one of the sentiment foil plates I hot foiled the sentiment.  The foil is rainbow foil!

I then foiled the arcs on red, orange, yellow and teal card stocks.  This foil is a crazy looking pattern in gold but you lose the pattern on these little stripes.  My daughter said, "Mom, your rainbow is wrong.  You should have used green."  LOL - Everyone's a critic!

Take a look at that SHINE! 

Here you can really see the rainbow foil!  And you can kind of see the crazy pattern of the gold foil on the arcs.  

I love this card!  This one may have to go in my stash.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #571

 Hello!  Thank you so much for stopping by!  I do appreciate your visit.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's a really fun one.  I think so, I hope you will, too.

This week's card features (again) the Stitched Circle Dies from Pink and Main.  The leaves and swirly bits are from a couple of different Small Die of Month sets from Spellbinders, Glimmer plates from the Dec '19 Glimmer of the Month set and copper hot foil.  The sentiment is from Concord and 9th and the background (old) is from Raisin Boat. 

I did forget to mention that I also used the Essential circles glimmer plate to hot foil in one of the circle elements on the sketch. 

The combination of the circle dies and the glimmer circle along with the leaves, this created a very nice modern pumpkin!  I enjoyed putting this together.  I did stamp the sentiment and heat embossed it using Rose Gold embossing powder by Gina K.  It looks too pink but its very interesting, move it around in the light and see that lovely gold shine.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #570

Hello!  Thank you for your visit.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and this one is by Debbie.  I have to admit, after seeing the other team member's cards I wasn't sure what I was going to do, so I struggled to measure up.  I still didn't quite make it, but I am happy with this card.

My card features Stitched Circle dies and Cloud dies from Pink & Main, the sentiment is from Forever Friends from Queen & Co and LOTS of Nuvo Drops.

I actually die cut the circles out of watercolor card stock and then colored each piece using Distress inks.  I did intend for this to be more rainbow in shape, too, but I had so much adhesive on the back that when I placed it down on the card base I had it over to the right too far but had to commit to it because the adhesive wasn't forgiving at all!  Oh well, such as good adhesive goes.

Then I went crazy with the Nuvo drops!  I couldn't help myself.  I had every color of the rainbow and I want to use them all!
