My card features a cut file from Silhouette Online store, a swirl embossing folder by Darice and a tiny sentiment from Papertrey Ink.

I really struggled with getting these cute little gnomes to cut.  They really are meant to be bigger and probably cut from vinyl.  But I wanted them for my card so I struggled and fought with it but I won!  However, technically a little too big for the sketch.  But still, a pretty cute card don't you think?

Tuesday Morning Sketches #545

Hello - thank you for stopping by.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and this one was brought to us by Andrea.  It's a tall and skinny card although I made mine as a landscape card.

I have to admit this one was tricky for me - I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with all the elements on the card.  So I guess, technically I missing one of the elements which is the pink middle element (see sketch on TMS).

I love this card though.  It took me a while to figure it out - what I wanted to do.  I even went to Pinterest and couldn't mind much inspiration.  But after wearing my thinking cap for an hour and a strong cup of coffee (I blame this on Daylight Saving) I came up with my idea.

I did want to emboss the blue panel but it doesn't fit my Cuttlebug or Big Shot.  I won't use my Gemini because it's too much pressure - embossing tears the paper.  So it's a bit more plain than I wanted.  The clouds are from a stencil by MFT Stamps, the dies are from a small die monthly kit by Spellbinders and the sentiment is from Raisin Boat.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #544

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by.  I appreciate your visit.  The latest sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and I think you're going to like it.

My card features some left over stickers from my planner pages (found on Etsy by Sue Gaskill) and a sentiment stamp from the Everyday Magic stamp set from CTMH.  I also used some of the design stamps in the same set.  Dies used are from Papertrey Ink and embossing folder by Darice.

So earlier in the day I was decorating my Happy Planner and I still had some stickers leftover.  They inspired the color palette. This card is so light and airy and screams Spring.  I have to create Spring, since I live in Florida there really are no seasons.  Just hot and cold.  Scenery looks the same.

I also love love love this stamp set.  It has the greatest sentiments and fun little accents.  I wanted it since seeing Patti use it in this card.  Then my sister showed it to me when she went to stamp night with her local CTMH rep and I loved it even more.  I'm the most spoiled "little sister" in the world.  My sister sent me the set!  I love this card and I love this set - I'm sure you'll see more of it in the future.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #543

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by.  I appreciate your visit. The first new 2020 sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  Debbie is kicking off this challenge with a fantastic sketch!

My card features an embossing folder by Park Lane, dies from Spellbinders and an old Martha Stewart border punch.

I also used the Spellbinder Glimmer machine to foil the sentiment.  I'm still figuring this out so it's not perfect, but it's still pretty.  I guess I just don't need to run it through the Big Shot twice.  This impressed the card stock very deeply.

I finished the flowers with some Nuvo Crystal Drops in chocolate brown.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #542

Hello! Thank you for stopping by.  I do appreciate your visit.  The last revisited sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches - this one is Patti's pick.  She actually picked a favorite of mine, too.  I loved working with this sketch.

My card features a stamp from the February Simon Says Stamp kit, hello die from Hero Arts, an old Cuttlebug folder (paisley) and some ribbon from my stash.  This card turned out pretty okay, but I really struggled with it.  More on that to follow.

This feels very denim and red bandanna to me.

Now about this stamp set - I did "shorten" the image by stamping one side, masking then stamping the other side by moving the image over about an inch and half.  It worked for the most part.  I was happy that my idea worked.  But I was so unhappy coloring the image and I came to the realization that I really don't like this set and I have no idea what possessed to me to get.  I felt no joy in stamping and coloring and it made me wonder if stamping is still "my thing."

So here's my offering.  I am willing to sell the entire kit.  I only used the one stamp, so it shows, but everything else is untouched.  The papers, card stock, the bits and bobbles, the die, the Scor-Tape and the envelopes.  The only thing that's not included in this sale is the little lollipop.  I will sell it for exactly what I paid - $36.98. Tuesday Morning Sketches #541

Hello and thank you for stopping by!  I do so appreciate your visit.  The latest revisited sketch is up and this time it was my pick.  I chose one of Debbie's sketches that I loved playing with back in July.

My card features Small die kits of the month, heart die and label die all from Spellbinders, star embossing folder from Park Lane (JoAnn's) and some paper that has been in my basket for a long time.  This as close to a Valentine's Day card as I can get and I love how this turned out!

So cute, right?  This card went together so quickly and so easily.  The results are adorable.  I did cut a piece of vellum to back the flower and I offset the second layer instead of fitting it inside and then adhered the leaves.  I am so pleased with this card.   The only thing is I can't tell how it looks - this new-to-me laptop makes the colors look a bit washed out.

Hello, hello, hello!  Thank you so much for stopping by.  I am glad you did.  The latest revisited sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches and this week's sketch is LJ's pick - she picked a classic by Debbie.

My card features some paper that I have had so very long.  It's called Hippie Chick by DCWV.  Some super old card stock from SU! that I honestly don't even know if these are current colors anymore.  Gable Green and Green Galore.  The butterfly is from a small DOM from Spellbinders and then I finished it off with a few dots of Nuvo Crystal Drops.  Super easy card and more layers than I've used in a very long time.

I did forget to mention that the scallop is from a border die by Simon Says Stamp and the frame behind the butterfly is inverted scallop frame from Pink and Main.
