Hello everyone! Happy Thursday. This week's challenge is up at Delightful Challenges and this week we're Making it Simple.
I'm not super happy with my card but I ran out of time and ink to re-do this card. So just pretend you don't see that really bad thought in the upper left corner.
However I do {heart} that washi tape! I think I got it at Target. My card features Friendship Sentiment which is statement enough for this simple card. I printed the image twice. Once directly on the card base and a 2nd time so I was able to cut out the center and mat it to some dark card stock. I colored the flowers using Bic Mark-it's. I don't like them. I'll stick to Copics.
So head on over to the challenge blog to get some better ideas! Have a great day.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #238
Good Morning! How are you today? So yesterday my laptop at work got upgraded to Windows 7. Now I'm fairly used to it's functionality since I have it on my personal laptop, but I was really struggling to restore everything yesterday. So we'll see what sort of day I have ahead of me.
Anyway, there's a new sketch this week. I really like this one, too. I hope you do as well. We're sponsored by Yours or Mine Paper Crafts. Since she offers The Greeting Farm stamps in her store, I thought I'd pull an old set out. I love this one and so does my daughter - who has decided that Peter Pan is the new love of her life (think Robbie Kay aka Pan on Once Upon a Time).
I really love how this turned out. I colored him pretty well if I say so myself. Of course Hollyanne had to point out that Peter Pan doesn't have brown hair. I answered back that these are reddish brown colors and it's as close as I could get without making his hair look like Wilma Flintstone.
Anyway, please join us at TMS this week. It's a fun sketch! Have a great day!

Scrapbook Saturday with Deedee's Digis
Hello everyone! Happy Saturday everyone. I have another fun layout to share with you featuring one of my favorite sets by Deedee's Digis. This is Bugs & Blossoms.... so cute!
The set of digi papers, butterfly image and sentiment worked so well with these adorable pictures of my kids. They are looking so swag! I had to laugh at Levi. These pictures are sitting on my table where I left them after I scanned them in and he asks me, "why don't I have a picture?" I said that is him. His response, "uh-uh, that's Brendan." Haha! Now he sees how much he looked like this brother.
I do hope this inspires you to start scrapbooking whether digitally or traditional paper. Preserve those memories! Have a great Saturday.

Delightful Challenge Thursday
Good Morning friends! I'm going to make this post super quick and short. Technically, it's Wednesday night while I'm writing this and the Benadryl just kicked in.
This week's challenge at Delightful Challenges is super easy and I love it.... ADD A FLOURISH. I created this card with a cut file by Lori Whitlock which worked perfectly with the sentiment that I am featuring. Thanks Sew Much sentiment. When I picked out the sentiment to use, I had the idea for card about 2 seconds after that.
I love that the S is a flourish all by itself which is why I chose it, but then the rest just sort of fell into place. Sew much fun!
Have a Thursday!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #237
Good Morning friends. This week is the last week for the "looking back to 2013" sketches. This one is my pick and I really love the sketch. I am also very pleased with my card design. Our sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear Digital Outlet and I'm featuring an image called Dragonfly Lily. You all know how much I love dragonflies.
I did leave off a couple of elements from the sketch, but I just couldn't think of adding any more to make this any better. I love all the texture from the embossing and the cut pieces. I also cropped out one of the dragonflies so I can print it separately and larger.
I hope to see you over at TMS this week. Have a great Monday!

Delightful Challenges Thursday
Good Morning! Happy Thursday. So my daughter was on my laptop last night looking for only she knows what and ended loading 6 or 7 programs onto the laptop. I spent an hour trying to clean it up and this stuff off. Grrr.... I really can't stand companies that just worm their way onto computers. Anyway, so I didn't get my post done last night and I get onto my computer this morning and guess what? These stupid programs are back! And why isn't Norton stopping this crap happening on my computer? Isn't that what I pay them for?
Anyway.... onto happier subjects. This week's challenge at Delightful Challenges. This week's theme is LOVE NOTES. This could mean hearts, music notes, letters. So much possibility. My card features Luvvy Bear & Balloons. I created a center step card using a cut file from Silhouette.
The paper is from the Love paper stack by Recollections. I added some diamond glaze to the balloons to give them a little bit of shine. I am very pleased with these results.
I hope to see you play along with the challenge. Have a super day!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #236
Hello everyone! How's your day? Oh, yeah.... it just started. How's your cup of coffee? Really, I hope your day is off to a great start. It's Tuesday and the sketch is up at TMS - Kris picked us a good one. And this week we're joined by a new sponsor. All Dressed Up is here and it's oh so sweet.
Here's the card I created that is available free on the ADU blog.
My idea was to create the feel of her being in a spotlight. My inking didn't go quite as I had it in my head but I'm still happy with the end result. This week is the Judged Challenge so the twist is to use lace and pearls. I have pearls, lace, zebra print paper and TONS of texture.
Please head on over to the TMS blog to play along. See you there.
