Friday Feature with Raisin Boat

Hi everyone!  Happy Friday!  We finally made it to the end of the week and this is the beginning of a long weekend.

I haven't shared any projects lately using Raisin Boat products because I sent my projects off to Kim and Bobbi a bit late, so I didn't take pictures.  Thankfully, they've posted some in the Gallery, so I saved the pics and now I can share.

I created this photo frame after watching an episode of Scrapbook Soup.  Not the best show, but sometimes as some good ideas.  I didn't like how they did their frame, but it made me think.  This is what I came up with....

My frame features All in Toile stamp set and it is simple but I think it turned out really pretty!  I think I'll be making another one soon.

Supplies:
Stamps:  All in Toile (Raisin Boat)
Ink:  London Fog (Memento)
Materials:  foam core board, Black Granite card stock (Raisin Boat)
Embellishments:  satin ribbon (Offray), Pearl Pen - Silver)

Delightful Challenges

** Please scroll down for the MTME Pretty Patterns post **

Hi!  Thanks for coming back for the Delightful Challenges post.  This card made me really long for Fall.  I don't miss a lot about living in West Virginia, but one thing I really miss is Fall.  The colors are blazing and gorgeous and rich!  The crispness in the air.  The chilly nights spent cuddling under a blanket with a nice cup of hot tea and a good book.  *sigh*  I really miss that.

So this week at Delightful Challenges we're loving Fall Days.

Here's my card....

What a cutie!  My favorite digi images in the Digital Delights by Louby Loo are the Lara Ladybug, Bumblebee Larry and the other characters with the signature sweet face that Wendy gives these little sweeties.  This is Pumpkin Lara and I love her.

I did create a pretty simple card using a fabulous sketch by Unscripted Sketches.  I really liked this sketch because I was able to showcase some great patterns from the Simply Fall digi paper pack.

Enjoy your day and we'll see you over at the Delightful Challenges blog.

Supplies:

MTME Pretty Patterns #70

Good Morning!  I am so happy that it's Thursday - I love Friday eve!  And it's time for another sketch at MTME Pretty Patterns.  This is my first sketch as the Team Lead so it's pretty basic.  I hope you enjoy playing with it.  Be sure to head over to the blog to see it and the great cards from the design team.

Here's my card...

I really love this saying by Eleanor Roosevelt.  I added the pretty tea cup to the sentiment and loved the results!  I printed off one of my favorite digi paper packs and I am a happy girl.  So I do hope that you join us for this sketch challenge.  You'll enjoy it!

Paper Makeup Wednesday Style

Good Morning!  Happy Hump Day.  I am pretty darn happy that this week seems to be sailing by, I'm looking forward to a long weekend.

Anyway, I missed sharing a card with you last week Wednesday for Paper Makeup Stamps because my hand was so swollen, but I'm almost kind of glad I didn't because I got to play with a fun challenge this week that I wouldn't have, otherwise.

So here's my card featuring Tangii Fairy.  Isn't she cute?!  I love how my card turned out, too.  Clean and Simple with a bit of pizzazz.  What do you think?

I created this card using a fun sketch from Retro Sketches.

Enjoy your Wednesday!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #161

Good Morning!  How are you all doing.  It's already Tuesday and time for another fun sketch at TMS.  And we're sponsored by Raisin Boat!  Whoo-hoo!!  So here's two happy places for me.

Here's the fun part about Raisin Boat sponsoring, you as the winner gets to pick which set you want as your prize.  Be sure to head on over to the TMS blog for all the details.  But before you run off, let me show you my card.  It's very orange.  LOL

I am featuring a fun set called Cup of Flower.  It's a really fun set, but I have to admit, it bit challenging for me.  So I do try to play with it to become a little more comfortable with designing with it.  I paired with a fun matstack called Nana's Kitchen.  I call this my cup of flowers in a mound of brown sugar.

Paper Pretties Monday

Good Morning!  I hope you all had a great weekend.  It was a busy one here.  Went to the flea market yesterday morning and that was kinda fun.  Didn't get much of anything, a couple of phone cases for Hollyanne and Levi's cell phones.  But it was after that the day was fuller than it was expected to be.

But, let's talk about this week's challenge at Paper Pretties.  This week we're doing Back to School.  ARTish has created another adorable set(s).  I'm featuring Poindexter....

I created this card using a fabulous sketch from The Sweet Stop.  I missed playing last week and I really hate doing that.  I love that challenge blog - of course I'm partial to Korin and the whole team since I used to be a part of it.

Have a fabulous Monday and thanks so much for visiting!

Delightful Challenges

Good Morning!  It's Thursday already! Whoo-hoo!  That makes me very happy because that means only one more day to the weekend.

This week's challenge for Delightful Challenges is going to touch the girly in all of us...

Frilly and Fancy

How fun is that - we get to play with all things girly.  And I had tons of fun creating this card for you.  I hope it inspires you to play along with us.

I think Girl and Bear is a sweet image.  So much fun to color and worked perfectly with the Echo Park papers I used and the beautiful rolled rose die from My Favorite Things.  I am very pleased with the results.  I pulled all of these elements together using a great sketch by Karen Giron at Sweet Sketch Sunday.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #160

Good Morning!  Happy Tuesday - and it is a happy one.  Monday is over and the best news is, we don't have another one until next week.  And it is a fun week over at Tuesday Morning Sketches - we have 4 sketches to play with.  TMS is having a sketch review this week, so we're playing with past sketches.

We're also sponsored by The Stamping Boutique.  Here's my card....

My card features a digi stamp called Back to School (mix 2).  Isn't it adorable?  I paired it with this great kit that I won last year from Katie Skiff.  It's a kit from Memory Makers and I love the colors and the distressed look.  It came complete with gorgeous, heavy papers and some really fun stickers.  This really helped me create this fun Back to School card.

We'll see you over at the TMS blog.  Enjoy your day and have fun playing with this week's challenge.

Paper Pretties Monday

Good Morning!  It's the start of another week and really the only pleasure Monday holds for me is the Paper Pretties post.  I don't look forward to my job because it's usually full of TONS of calls from mostly grumpy people.  It really does make it hard to get up and go when you know you're just going to get yelled at all day long.  Oh well, it is what it is and I am happy to have a job.  That's most important.  Got to keep my eyes on the right things.

Here's a right to look at - this week's challenge at Pretty Pretties.  This week we're doing one of my least favorite.

PRIMARY COLORS

Bright colors and I don't seem to get along very well - but I gave it my best shot.  Please be kind.

I created this card using a cute image by ARTish called Cirque.  And a great layout from iSpySketches.  I pulled out an old embossing folder that I've not played with in a long time.  And some paper scraps that worked pretty well.

Supplies:
Image:  Cirque
Card stock:  Neenah Classic Crest, Brilliant Blue, Yo-Yo Yellow
Paper:  Scraps in my stash

MTME Pretty Patterns #69

** Please scroll down for the Delightful Challenges post **

Hi again!  Thanks for coming back.  This is my first week flying somewhat solo with the My Time Made Pretty Patterns challenge.  Ack!  I hope I did everything right.  I've had this card ready for two weeks now, that's how badly I didn't want to mess anything up.

The new Pretty Pattern #69 is up and this one is designed by Tangii.  What a pretty Pretty Pattern!  So much possibility.

With this sketch you have so much room to showcase whatever you'd like.  I went with one of my favorite digi papers and new favorite sentiment sets Keep Strong.  This set is FULL of very encouraging words and I'm sure you'll see me use it often.  In fact, I've already got an idea "brewing."

Supplies:
Image:  Keep Strong (MTME)
Card stock:  Neenah Classic Crest, Sahara Sand, Pink Passion
Paper:  Berries and Branches digi paper (MTME)
Copics:  RV02, RV10, RV95, YG17
Embellishments:  plaid ribbon (Offray), mulberry flowers (Prima), baubles (Michaels)

Delightful Challenges

Good Morning!  I hope your week is going well for you.  It's been a pretty good week for me, too.

This week at Delightful Challenges, we are asking you to bring out those dies and punches.  I was really excited about this challenge because I had ordered.... ahem, my kids gave me a fantastic birthday present of great dies from My Favorite Things.  This die worked perfectly with this sweet little image.

My card features Lili the Skunk....

I also created a flower which is a cut file (a digital die if you ask me) from My Time Made Easy.  It's probably the last one I'll ever make since it seems my SCAL isn't working very well with my Cricut anymore.  I think it's time to sell my Cricut and get me another SCAL friendly electronic cutter.

The layout is from Unscripted Sketches and I think allowed me to showcase this adorable little skunk.

Supplies:
Image:  Lili the Skunk
Card stock:  Neenah Classic Crest, Black (Recollections)
Paper:  Just Chillin' (Making Memories)
Copics:  BV02, C5, C7, C8, E17, E18, E29, R02, R11, RV10, W0, Y15, YG03, YG17

Raisin Boat Challenge

** Please scroll down for my Paper Makeup Stamps post **

Hi there!  Thanks for coming back.  It's already the 15th of the month, so that means there is a new challenge up on the Raisin Boat blog.  This month we're playing with a sketch that was designed by me.  I hope you like it.

Here's the card I created with it...

It's this bright and cheery?  The colors come from the current color challenge at ColourQ (Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade, Bermuda Bay, Poppy Parade + White).  Well, I don't have any of those colors, but I managed to pull it off pretty well.

My card features this really fun set called Sweet Smile and if you love this set you can rent it right away.  Just go to Raisin Boat and start your membership.  The trial membership rate is only $5.99 and so completely worth it.  New sets in your mailbox every month, heck yeah, I'm there!

Supplies:
All supplies by Raisin Boat unless otherwise noted
Stamps:  Sweet Smile
Ink:  Pear Tart, Ladybug Red, Bahama Blue, Dandelion
Card stock:  Brighton White, Pool Party, Yellow Duckie, Pear Salad
Tools:  Scallop Border punch (Fiskars)
Embellishments:  white grosgrain ribbon (Offray)

Paper Makeup Wednesday Style

Good Morning!  This is the first of my regular weekly posts for Paper Makeup Stamps.  I'm calling it Wednesday Style.  This is just my sorta style and the only creative title I could come up with that sounded like it pertains to make-up.

Now I am really pleased with the coloring I did on this card, but I'm not sure I am pleased with the over all card.  I guess I just haven't quite gotten into my groove with playing with the fairies again.  I will though!

I had an idea that I would emboss the layer with the sentiment.  Then I realized after my card was just about done that I forgot to do that.  I did use an easy sketch that I found by Penny's Challenges.  But what I really liked is Just Us Girls challenge to use ribbon scraps.  I case'd a few of their ideas to put ribbon behind a punched out shape.

Thank you for visiting me today and for leaving your thoughts.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #159

Good Morning!  It's another glorious Tuesday and after stumbling over each other to get ready this morning, the day is off to a pretty good start.  You can't go wrong with a good cup of coffee in hand and having someone else do the driving.  I'm sure Hollyanne and I will work out our bathroom routine by the end of the week.

I've posted the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches and it's a fun one!  This week's challenge is sponsored by Sparkle Creations and the prize is two adorable stamps.  Sparkle was so sweet to send a few team members stamps, unfortunately, the Post Office wasn't moving fast enough.  So I created a card using some old stamps that I haven't played with for awhile.  I took this advice from my long time friend Sandy Domelle. I read a post on her blog today how we're always striving for the latest and greatest, that sometimes we forget about some stamps in our collections.  So it was fun to pull this out.

The base of my card was created with some digi paper that I have had forever.  And then I cut the scalloped circle out of Chocolate Chip card stock.  Flowers are stamped from CTMH stamp set Tickled Pink.  I think that's wrong, but there's no name on the package and that's the was search results came up with.  I created the sentiment from Raisin Boat's No Loss For Words set.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Tickled Pink (CTMH), No Loss for Words (Raisin Boat)
Ink:  Summer Sun, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Old Olive (SU!)
Card stock:  Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel
Paper:  For the Girls - Ella digi paper (Bella Gypsy ACOT)
Tools:  Cuttlebug, Scalloped Circles Nesties, 5/8" circle punches
Embellishments:  chocolate brown satin ribbon (Offray)

Paper Pretties Monday

Good Morning!  Happy Monday.  I hope you all had a great weekend.  Mine was pretty good and I'm off today, too.  My kids went back to school today so I always take this day off to make sure they get off OK.  It was a little difficult to get Levi moving, but he eventually got himself together.

I had a good day yesterday, it was fairly laid back but I was able to make some cards and play along with some favorite challenges.  Speaking of favorite challenges, the Paper Pretties challenge is up and it's an easy one....

ANYTHING GOES

Everyone likes the Anything Goes challenge, everyone but me.  I think I've expressed how I feel about them.  I think if you're going to do an anything goes, you need to challenge yourself.  Well, to be honest, this time I didn't stretch myself, I just had fun making this card.  I really wanted to play with this image.  This is called AAAaaaahhhhh!!!  Can you hear him?

This week, Paper Pretties is re-releasing a couple of digi sets as well as releasing a new set by Fawn.  I chose to go with the re-release of Aaaaahhhh! - He's so funny and so darn adorable!

I used the sketch from The Sweet Stop as my layout for this card.  I love the results.  I really like matting with black, it just makes everything pop.

Supplies:
Card stock:  Neenah Classic Crest, Bashful Blue (SU!), Black (Recollections)
Paper:  Buggy Afternoon digi paper pack (ACOT)
Copics:  B000, BG01, C5, E30, E33, R11, YG03
Tools: Circle cutter (CM)
Embellishments: black stitched ribbon, button (all my stash)

Friday Feature with Raisin Boat

Hello!  Happy Friday!  I am so happy that the weekend is here.  Tomorrow I will be treating myself to a manicure and pedicure, well sort of, my carpool buddies gave me a gift certificate so they're treating me to a manicure and pedicure - I can't wait!  I need a bit of pampering.

Anyway, I have a card to share with you featuring my favorite color from Raisin Boat.  This is Crushed Red Pepper and it's the richest, yummiest red - I love love LOVE this color.

The stamps that are featured are from the Bloom set and Oops a Daisy (sentiment).  I recycled an old sketch of mine for the layout and I am so pleased with the results.  I {humbly} think this card turned out so stunning!  I embellished with ribbon and Liquid Pearls.  Although not what I used, what you can find in the Raisin Boat Store is a Pearl Pen.  I have a Glitter Liner which is the same brand and let me say, these are awesome!

I really hope you love this card as much as I do.  I also hope that your Friday is fabulous, fruitful and fun!

Supplies:
Stamps: Bloom, Oops a Daisy
Ink: Rich Cocoa (Memento), Distress Ink – Tea Dye (Ranger)
Copics: E18, E29, R29, YG63, YG67
Card stock: Coffee Bean, Roasted Red Pepper, Ivory Coast
Tools: Scor-Pal, oval cutters (CM)
Embellishments: Roasted Red Pepper grosgrain ribbon (solid side), Liquid Pearls – Platinum

Delightful Challenges

Good Morning!  I hope you're all having a great week.  I had a super fantabulous day yesterday.  Yes, it was my birthday (ssshh) and I had a lovely day off from work.  I did have to go to the DMV first thing to renew my tags and surprise surprise, I was in and out in 10 minutes.  I then came home and created my card to share with you today.  And then after that I took the kids bowling.  We had a blast!  After all that, I did colored up some images for this month's challenges for Delightful Challenges and had a great time and then wrapped up the day with a lovely dinner out with the kids and my Mom.  Good times!!

Oh, and I did receive a really fun birthday present from my sisters.  I got chocolate martini mix, vodka, a martini shaker and super cute polka dot martini glasses.  Really fun gift!  I am a very happy girl.

OK - here's something that made me very happy, too.  This week's challenge at Delightful Challenges is...

Fabric, Fiber and Trim

My card features fabric and trim (ribbon)....

I went to Joann's last weekend with one idea in mind.  I was thinking with this challenge that I would get an iron-on transfer to print the digi out and then putting it on a little tote bag.  Well, I never found the little tote bag but Hollyanne spotted this really fun fat quarter on sale for $0.99 that I could use as background paper.  I love the results.  I did use the sketch from Mojo Monday which worked perfectly.

I hope you join us this week at the Delightful Challenges blog to play along.  Enjoy your day!

Supplies:

Card stock: Neenah Classic Crest, Kraft, Black

Paper Makeup in Review

Good Morning!  Happy Wednesday!  I am soooo happy, I took today off and I get to go to the DMV.  Whoo-hoo!!  (bleh)  But I'm not complaining, it's a day off.

Did you enjoy the PMS Blog Hop yesterday?  Great release right?  I loved all the sentiments the Katie created.  I'm playing with another one today and I used a fun sketch from Clean & Simple.  I think it's a little too clean and simple and I think my eyesight must be off because everything looks so crooked.

I think it really needs to flowers or embellishments or something.  Just love the sentiment.  LOL

Paper Makeup Stamps Blog Hop

Hi there,

Thanks for coming back!  I am sooo excited to share some really great news that I got the other day.  But let me share my story.  Way back when, I'd say about 3 years ago, maybe more (time flies you know) I had applied for the first Paper Makeup Stamps design team call.  I didn't make it.  I hate to admit it but my reaction to not making it wasn't very adult like.  I cried my fool head off!  Well, I dried my tears and loved Paper Makeup Stamps - the fairies are so sweet and Katie arranges the most beautiful word art sentiments.  Now years later, I have been invited to be a Paper Makeup Artist!  Yippeee!!!

So here's my first post for the latest release of Paper Makeup Stamps word art digis.

I love this sentiment!  How encouraging is this.  I did create my card using the sketch from Just Us Girls - it was perfect to showcase this lovely sentiment.

I do hope you'll enjoy the hop!

BIRTHDAY!

How easy is that?  Just make a birthday card using Debbie's beautiful sketch and you're all set to win a fabulous prize from this week's sponsor, Digi Doodle Shop.

Now when I made my card and posted it to our DT site I realized then I forgot an element to sketch.  Oops!  I'm so sorry Debbie, I didn't mean to do that.  But I absolutely love image that was graciously given by Digi Doodle Shop to me to play with.  Can you just hear him singing his little bird heart out?  I created the sentiment so I hope I made it visual what he's singin'!

Paper Pretties Monday

Good Morning!  Did you have a good weekend?  Mine was super busy.  Back to school shopping, it was the tax free weekend.  I think we got it all, too, but I'm sure when they actually start school next week the schools will have more needed items.

This week's challenge is at Paper Pretties is us and we're playing with SCALLOPS.  My card features an adorable new image by ARTish called Ribbons.  I went with a fairly clean and simple card with a sketch from The Sweet Stop.

I love the splash of blue for both ribbons against the black and white.  I added some whiskers to his cute little face with a white gel pen as well as some highlights here and there.

Friday Feature with Raisin Boat

Good Morning!  Yes, I am a little late posting my Friday Feature with Raisin Boat post.  I actually sat down Thursday night to play along with some challenges to showcase Raisin Boat stamps and products and I was a miserable failure!  Everything I touched turned to.... well, let's just say it wasn't gold.

However, I am so excited that this little project was featured on Raisin Boat's Facebook page and I can share it here.  I have more to share with you as the week's pass, too.

I created this mini-album from a tutorial I found on Scor-Pal.  It's so cute, so easy and makes the perfect brag book.  I thought it would be great to capture a special moment in time that only a few pictures may have been taken.  Or to commemorate a milestone birthday.

As you can see a single stamp set, Oops a Daisy was used throughout the little book and kept to a very simple color scheme.

I added just a few other little touches like the page on the left, by drawing a light circle around the daisy and using that a placement guide for stamping the dots.  And then carrying the dot theme over to the right page with the stamped dots and the dots from the border (SNSS) that I laced Boathouse Collection ribbon through.

And then here is the last page.  I really like the page on the right, I colored the daisies with a white gel pen.  I think I ruined the pen, but it was worth it!  It was better than what I was originally thinking and that was to color with white-out.  I don't think that would've been as successful.  I could see me ruining the entire book after attempting to paint with white-out.

I hope you enjoyed my project share and that it inspires you to try it.  By the way, there is still time to join the Raisin Boat monthly challenge!  Check it out here on the blog.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Oops a Daisy (Raisin Boat)
Card stock:  Brighton White, Pear Salad, Lemon Glaze (Raisin Boat)
Ink:  Tuxedo Black, Pear Tart (Memento)
Tools:  Cuttlebug, Lacy Edges dies (SNSS), border punch (Fiskars), oval & circle cutters (CM),
  Scor-Pal, Scor-Tape
Embellishments:  Pear Salad ribbon Boathouse Collections (Raisin Boat)

MTME Pretty Pattern #68

** Please scroll down for the Delight Challenges Post **

Hi there!  Thanks for coming back.  It's time for new sketch at My Time Made Easy Pretty Patterns.  It's with great sadness that I announce that this is Tangii Crain's last post with the Pretty Patterns team.  However, I am sooo happy that she's not leaving all together, she'll still be on the My Time Made Easy team so we'll still be inspired by her amazing talents.

I also get to announce that I will be taking over the team.  I feel very honored that Tangii approached me with the idea of taking over, she feels that confident that I will be able to fill her leadership shoes.  I hope I measure up.

Here's the card I created using Pretty Pattern #68...

At work, it's time for the Heart Walk, so we decided that themed baskets for auction would be a fun way to raise money.  One of the baskets will be a movie basket with DVDs and popcorn.  This card is perfect to go inside.

I do hope to see you over at the My Time Made Easy blog to play along with us.  You even have a little bit time to combine it with the MTME Pretty Palette challenge.

Supplies:
Image:  Night at the Movies
Paper:  Pop Some Fun digi paper
Card stock:  Neenah Classic Crest, White (Office Max), Black (Recollections) Whisper White (SU!)
Embellishments:  buttons (my stash), Maraschino Cherry Baker's Twine (SNSS)

Delightful Challenges

Good Morning!  Happy Thursday - we are one day closer to the weekend!  Yippee!!  Not that I have exciting plans for the weekend or anything, I'm just ready for the weekend.

This week's challenge for Delightful Challenges is up AND it's new release time.  The new releases went into the Digital Delights by Looby Lou store yesterday and you are going to love them.  This week's challenge is...

BIRTHDAY

How super fun and easy challenge is this!  Before I show you my card, I also want to say a HUGE welcome to the new DT members.  I am so happy that you have joined us.

Meet Pressie Josie.  I love her!  Look at that hair - so gorgeous.  I created this fun card with a fabulous sketch by Karen Giron at Sweet Sunday Sketch.  Adding these fun papers is making this a card that feels like a birthday celebration.
