Tuesday Morning Sketches #437

Hello!  Thank you for stopping by.  The revisited sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches, it's Janice's pick and I have to say it's one of my favorites, too.

So making a card didn't go so well for me.  I had one idea that  just didn't work for me so then I tried something else.  I was going to try something else because I'm not super pleased with the results, but I just ran out of time.  So here's my card featuring Brushstroke Messages from Simon Says Stamps.  The papers came in that particular kit and if I remember right, it's Bo Bunny.  I could be wrong.  Anyway, here's the card....

I am not entirely happy with it.  My choice of pink ink wasn't the best choice.  It's Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink.  It doesn't work with the soft pink of the paper as well as the pink shimmer paper.  But it is what is.  I really need that Tattered Rose color that is coming soon.  Can't wait!  I'm loving the other two colors of Distress Oxide ink I used - Antique Linen and Faded Jeans.  I should have started over, but I just was over it.

Please be sure to visit the design team - they did an amazing job.  They always do!

We'll see you over at the challenge blog!

I think the colour combo is so pretty, with a real "arty" design. After reading your journey with this card I had to laugh at your sentiment.

This is wonderful! I love the casual, artsy look to it!
You're too hard on yourself! (But I understand... my card for next week is my third attempt!)

Your card is right on trend with today's artsy methods, and I especially like that glowing flower in the center that matches the horizontal panel. NJ!

I have to agree your card has a real artsy feel! I need to try out those oxide inks, bought a few but have yet to try them out.
