i-Crafter Easter Basket

Hello! Thank you for stopping by.  Today I am sharing a project I made using the Easter Basket die by Lori Whitlock.  It's so cute!!  Swap out the sweet little chickie for flowers or other dies and you've got so many possibilities on your hands for this little basket.

This was so easy to die cut using the iMend Self Mending Magnetic PRO Deck!  I know the price point is a bit higher but trust me, it's worth very penny.  Besides our tools are investments, we want to invest in what's going to stand up use after use and this cutting deck will stand the test of time.

The basket is really a no brainer to put together.  The score lines emboss while cutting out the pieces.  You just need a good creasing tool like the i-Press Burnisher to give you some sharp creases on your fold lines.  Remember to cut 2 bases, 2 longer panel dressing pieces and 2 shorter dressing pieces.  This set comes with the chick and broken egg as well the bow and a pretty leaf (not shown in my sample).  I punched a couple of holes on opposite ends and used chenille stems to fashion a handle, poking the ends through the holes and bending to secure.

I filled the basket with some Easter grass and these cute little styrofoam egg ornaments.  This will look great sitting on my, what I call, display table.  This a sofa table that serves as my decoration piece that I change with the seasons/holidays.
