Paper Pretties Monday

Good Morning!  I hope you had a great weekend. Our weekend was pleasant - I slept in until 10:00 Saturday morning.  I guess I needed the sleep but I really hate when I do that.  I enjoy my early mornings, I can linger over a nice cup of coffee while enjoying the peace and quiet because the kids are still sleeping.  Oh well - it did make Saturday go by way to quickly but it was still a good weekend.

This week's challenge over at Paper Pretties is Make it Shine.  You can add bling, glitter, metal, crystal glaze - whatever you'd like, just make it shine.  So here's my card featuring the new digi image called Tea Time. Wonderful image, really great sentiments - you have to have this guy.....

So here's my card featuring the adorable Tea Time image, some great paper from Echo Park and a handful stashed items and tools.  But how did I make it shine?  Well, look close.  The drops of tea and the button are enhanced with Diamond Glaze.  I have discovered making my own buttons and I can't stop!  LOL

Do you see my shiny-ness?  I love love love making these buttons - so cute and so easy!!  I did have some help creating this card by using the sketch from The Sweet Stop and drew inspiration from Our Creative Corner which was to use All B's (black, buttons and bows).  What fun challenges.

Supplies:
Image: Tea Time and Tea Time Sentiments
Card stock: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White
Paper: Walk in the Park (Echo Park)
Copics: C8, C10, E33, E34, E37, R02, R11, YR16, YR20, YG17
Tools: 3/4" circle punch, 1" circle punch, Crop-o-dile, Diamond Glaze (Judikins), small and large tag punches (SU!), Apron Lace border punch (Fiskars)
Embellishments: b/w gingham ribbon (SU!)

Here's the new releases for today....

Hey Melissa, it's Chris from Easily Amused. I used to be a Paper Pretties DT too, I was on the stamp side on Wednesday so our paths didn't cross often. Anyway, I live in Bradenton, it's next to Sarasota, about 2 hours from Sanford.
Do you like My Favorite Things stamps. They're having an event on 8/27 and I'll be going out for it.

I want to do the Tea Time. I am so loving what you and the others did with him/her. I also love the rich warm colors you used.
