Inktegrity's Spring Hop!

Welcome to Inktegrity's Spring Hop!

You probably just visited Laura Jean's blog. If not, the entire blog hop is listed in order below.
This is a celebration of the awesome Design Team and all of you who create with Inktegrity! All of these images that you see on our blogs were created by request of each member.

Along the hop, there is a letter for you to collect - no need to unscramble as it is spelled out for you. Simply email the phrase to jonjinko@hotmail.com with the phrase in the subject line and she will email the freebie image to you. In addition, be sure to leave a comment on the Inktegrity blog (the last on this hop) so that you are eligible to win your choice of 5 of these images!!!

Now on to my card and image:

I have always loved unicorns. As a kid, I collected them. Many have been lost from my collection over the years, but some very special one's remain. When Joni asked us to request an image I had to give it some thought but then ultimately decided on a unicorn when my oldest son had asked me what my very favorite book of all time is. Of course, it's The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle. Thinking of the book and reminiscing about the wonderful characters, Lady Amalthea (the unicorn), Molly and Schmendrick, Prince Lir, King Haggard... *sigh* We were also asked to name our image - my son Levi named the unicorn Harmony.

When Joni sent me this image you have no idea how delighted I was! I set to work, mentally, on how I wanted my card to look. At first I was thinking the colors of how the film The Last Unicorn looked, but then after a trip to the ribbon outlet, my color scheme shifted to burgundy, white and ivory.

The base is Baroque Burgundy and then I cut the "top note" die - not the SU! die, but one I created in SCAL and then embossed with the Textile Cuttlebug folder. I colored the image with just a touch of color using a Copic Marker (B0000) and a Prismacolor Marker (Cream). The with a blender pen and Baroque Burgundy ink, added a touch of color to the mane.

I have truly enjoyed my term on the Winter Inktegrity Design Team. I want to thank Joni for having given me that opportunity. I am sad to leave but I am excited to see what the Spring Team will bring. It's also been an absolute pleasure to work with everyone on the team.

For this hop, my letter is...
Now you can continue on to Guest Designer Dawn's blog to see another special image. Thank you so much for coming by!

New Release at Inktegrity!

Good Morning! Happy Monday! I am thrilled that I have my kids home with me one more day today, but I think everyone is hoping that they can go back to school tomorrow. The roads are getting pretty good, the buses should be OK. They've had an 11 day weekend!

Joni with Inktegrity has done it again! She's releasing a new digi-set today. I just love this image because it's the epitome of us all.

I don't know about you, but I love notebooks. I have 2 or 3 by my computer at all times. I use them to write down notes or draw sketches that I want to try. I find they are very useful when I've figured out measurements or come up with some tips to simply jot them down in my notebook. So when Joni sent us this image, it was perfect for one of my notebooks. I've had one sitting on my table for months begging to be dressed up.

I used paper from a Basic Grey pad that I've had for ages. Joni purposely left her dress plain to allow for paper piecing. The base is Sahara Sand. Then I printed her on Neenah card stock and colored her with Copics. I also printed her out on the patterned paper for her dress. I used the ribbon slide stamp from DRS Designs to finish it off. It is paper pieced as well.

Let me give you a tip on how you can accomplish this printing without having to print twice. If you haven't seen my tutorial, you can click here to view that. I have developed another way to do it and will do an updated tutorial soon.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I do enjoy your visits.

In Memory of Charlotte

Good Morning Everyone! I hope your weekend was good. We got hit with about 3' of snow so the kids are home for the next couple of days and the city continues to dig out... just in time for more snow on Thursday.

Today's card is using the image that was designed by Joni of Inktegrity. This is the fundraiser digi that you can purchase for $3, the proceeds will go to the CJ's Thumbs Up Foundation. All pertinent links are in the side bar.

Inktegrity is sponsoring Card Patterns this week, so here's my take on the sketch.

I do hope you'll take a minute to purchase this adorable stamp. It helps out a great cause.

Also, there's still time left to get Wally the Whale for free with a $5 purchase. Hurry, offer ends on the 14th.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Playing catch up...

Good Morning! This has not been a good week for me... I guess it was if I were on a roller coaster, but I don't recall getting on that ride! Anyway, enough on that subject.

Joni released this image on Tuesday and I am just barely getting to post it! This is Emmett's Jeep and it's way cool, however, when I looked at it I saw a little boy's birthday card.

I kept it very simple. No embellishments to pose a choking hazard. And guess what, you can actually mail this card with only ONE stamp. LOL Seems that any card I make requires an extra 20 cents for hand-canceling.

Do you see the license plate? I personalized it. When I imported the image into my word document, I simply drew a text box over that space and added my own personalization. Cute and simple!

Thanks for stopping by today!

New Release at Inktegrity

Good Morning everyone,

Happy February 1st. I don't have a card to share with you today but there are some adorable new releases rolling out over at Inktegrity. This first is Bella's Truck...

You can see adorable samples being shared by Sheri and LJ that are featured on the Inktegrity blog. Also send some happy thoughts and get well wishes to the Wilson family who have been struck by a stomach bug. I talked to her yesterday and at that point, it had only affected the girls. Now it sounds like everyone got it.

Quickie Card

Good Morning! I'm really hoping I hear good news today!!

I made a super quick 3x3 gift card that my youngest son tells me he needs for tomorrow. Ugh! I've not been feeling well as it is, so crafting has been my lowest of priorities. *GASP!*

No frills - just a little bit of ribbon. I had such grander ideas to use Sammy the Seal with, but this was all I could come up with on such short notice. This seal has the trademark sweet face that Joni's images are known for. I created the sentiment which is almost too big, but as I said, I had grander plans. The base is So Saffron and the scalloped mat is Bordering Blue. With just a touch of color to his bow and a bit of shading on his body - this was super quick and super simple.

Thanks for stopping by. I do love our visits.

Sew Happy

Good Morning Everyone! Happy Friday! I am sooo, ahem, I mean sew happy that the weekend is here.

The card I have to share with you today features my two favorites... a brand new image from Inktegrity and Rosalie, one of the newest images at CC Designs. I'm playing along with All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge, which is a color challenge: Pink, Red and Chocolate Brown.

The base of my card is Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cards stock. I used SU! Chocolate Chip and Pink Pirouette card stock, MS heart punch and a chocolate brown button. I colored Rosalie with Copic markers and I paper pieced the heart. The image actually has a sewing needle but Rosalie ended up hiding it.

This adorable set can be found in her shop for $2.99. And also don't forget that there is still time to get Wally for free with a $5 purchase. Click here to shop.

Have a wonderful Friday! Thanks for stopping by.

Inktegrity's Birthday Blog Hop!

Photobucket

As a special celebration, Inktegrity is having a birthday blog hop on January 14th to celebrate it's 6 month birthday! Of course, birthday parties mean gifts - for you, that is! Here are two ways that you can get Inktegrity's little thank you gift:

1) Grab this image from the sidebar on Inktegrity's blog and help us spread the word on your own blog. (Either as a post or in your own sidebar is fine.) Then comment back here so we know that you've sent out the "invitation". (heehee!) Please do this by January 13th. We will select 10 friends randomly to get the special digi.

2) If you are just joining us and it is already blog hop time, then visit all of the DT blogs on January 14th and leave them some love. We'll draw a random winner to receive the special gift who will also make his debut on Jaunary 15th, our new release day.

Hope to see you there!

Happy Mail from Inktegrity

Good Morning! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! Mine is back to the same ol' routine. Grocery shopping, scrubbing bathrooms and doing the laundry. But I spent the entire day yesterday crafting so that I plenty to share with you.

Today I have a card from Inktegrity. Joni sent me this image awhile back and I've finally been able to play with it. The sketch is from the challenge at The Pink Elephant, flipped a little.

Do you recognize the paper? This was called Petal Patch and was so 3 or 4 years ago from SU! LOL Yes, I hoard that bad!! I love this little bird, her sweet little eyes tells that she is all to happy to bring happy mail.

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your weekend. Please check back tomorrow - I am so excited about my Sunday post!! *squeal*

Winter Friends

Hi Everyone,

OK - better late than never right? I am finally done with my card and am ready to post for today! This is one of the three sets being released today from Inktegrity. This is Bear Hug and he's just the sweetest snowboy ever!

Of course I had to play along with a few challenges, which is why I took so long to post - not to mention being distracted by a movie streaming in on my computer. I really need to use my iPod more often.

Lord Have Mercy! - This awesome sketch
The Pink Elephant - Winter/Christmas theme
ColourQ - Going Gray, Bashful Blue, White (or Very Vanilla)

Thanks for stopping by today. I promise I'll be more on time the rest of the week.

15 Days of Christmas Cards - Day 10

Good Morning! I hope you've had a good weekend so far. Saturday was a bit crazy - Hollyanne is in her first Christmas concert today, she's a first year (and probably last year) violinist.

Anyway, I have another new release to share with you. This is another of Inktegrity's newest images just released this past week. And who could resist this yummy mint chocolate chip (my personal favorite) sundae adorned with delicious gingerbread house cookies.

I also used the sketch (again) from Sweet Sketch Wednesday. I really loved this sketch from Arlana. I also participated in The Color Dare challenge, too. This was quite a challenge for me, too. The colors: Kraft, Very Vanilla and Dusty Durango. The challenge for me was how was I going to incorporate those colors into a Christmas card. And then it occurred to me that these colors are homey baking colors, if that makes any sense.

I also used a gingerbread girl image from the Daisie Company. This was a tough on the old eyes to color something that tiny and then cut it out. Whew!

I hope you enjoyed my day 10 card and that you'll come back here tomorrow for day 11, which also happens to be Sunshine Monday. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Thanksgiving to all My Friends

Good Morning! I hope you're well today. My children were very happy this morning that this is the last day of school for awhile. They were groaning just a little but they'll be OK.

I just want to take this time to reflect on what I am thankful for during this Thanksgiving season. I have many blessings to count... I have a wonderful hubby and children, my sisters who are my best friends, and friends that are the best. I am thankful that we still have the freedom to worship freely and am very thankful that we have a God who loves us. I am also thankful for my stamps - they are my therapy and enjoyment when my family is away.

Here's my Thanksgiving card using Inktegrity's adorable turkey and pumpkin images. Of course I am participating in a few challenges. I colored the images with Copics. I did use the little acorn from a PTI set (Limitless Labels) and I used the Argyle CB folder for the pumpkin pie card stock piece.

1. Friday Sketchers - the sketch. Wonderful!
2. Just Us Girls - the color combo. Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie and Really Rust. I was very excited to see that I still had a few scraps from SU! paper pack Apple Cider, at least that's what I think it was called.
3. Stampin' Sisters in Christ - make a Thanksgiving card.

I also want to invite you over to my challenge blog, Tuesday Morning Sketches, for a fun sketch and wonderful sponsor!!

Happy it's Friday

Hi All! Thanks for coming by for another visit. I have a job interview this afternoon and I really hope that I get this job. Actually there are 3 that I've applied for that I would love to have.

Anyway, I played along with a couple of challenges using Inktegrity's newest image - Teddy. He is darling, his face is so loveable. I also played along with Dutch Dare Card Challenges which was to create this pocket card and I am not sure that I completely understood the directions (I am such a visual person, I'm pathetic, I know) but I am happy with the way it turned out. Very cute. I also played along with Color Throwdown (one of my favorite challenge sites) which was to use Chocolate, Olive (opt), Cream and Dark Red. I used all three plus a little white.

This is the front view - I used SU! decorative paper from, gosh, I think a couple of years ago (yes, I hoard that bad!), Old Olive for the scallop, Chocolate Chip for the base and I printed the image on Neenah Classic Crest card stock. I colored it using Copics. The "tab" was created from one of the ornaments that came in the Winter Collection from All That Scraps. I did cut the hook off of it because I figured it wouldn't travel well.

Here is the inside pull out where my greeting is. I created this in a word program using a cute font called Allura Script (dafont.com) that says "Wishing you a beary Christmas and a New Year filled with blessings and comfort!" How I did this without using up a lot of card stock was, I opened up a Word Document and typed my sentiment. Formatted it with the font and about how I wanted it to look on the page. Then I printed it on plain white paper. Then I took the piece of card stock I wanted it on and using some temporary adhesive, I adhered the card stock over the printing. You need to adhere really well. And then printed again.

I hope you enjoyed my card. Have a great day!

Nursery Shelf

** This is my 2nd post today - please scroll down for the MyGrafico Challenge **

Have you enjoyed the new releases so far this week from Inktegrity? I sure have! If you've not seen the fabulous cards from Joni and her amazing design team, you have to click here to see them!

When Joni sent the newest images and said we could do one a day or all three on one day, I knew exactly what I was going to do. But I did attempt to make single cards and I just couldn't because this idea was brewing in my head and I needed to get it out. Oh man, I hope you like it. This is my card that I titled Nursery Shelf.

I am really happy with my card. This was a lot of work! First off, I used the mantel image, but I altered it a bit. I removed the little house and then changed the candle sticks into a lamp and a book and then added more books. It took a couple of times to size and print the toys on the shelf but I think I finally got them right. I also used an image from Joni's very first release to create the portrait on the wall. I'm calling it a shelf because I didn't do anything below the mantel to make it appear it's above a fireplace, but continued the wallpaper instead. I used Certainly Celery as the base and then layered Barely Banana on top of that. The sentiment I used is from Say it with Stamps by Jen.

Thanks for coming by again! I do so love our visits.

Happy Birthday Mantel

Happy birthday to you... happy birthday to you... happy birthday dear Joni... HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! Just be glad you can't really hear me sing that to you! LOL

Today is my dear friend Joni's birthday so we, her faithful team, decided to have a little virtual party for her and here's the card I made to celebrate Joni!

I used Inktegrity's newest images and current challenge to create my card. The base is the Mantel that you can grab as a freebie and get in on the challenge. I then added the slice of cake and presents from Little Helper to the mantel. I created the Happy Birthday banner using a font called Brady Bunch Remastered (dafont.com), cut them out and then glued on to create a swag banner and drew in the string with my Copic liner. I did also draw on a couple of other challenges to help me create this fun card. The challenges over at Just Us Girls and The Corrosive Challenge Blog is to create a card using embossing, so I ran a piece of Only Orange (Joni's favorite color) through the Cuttlebug with the Happy Birthday folder and I found this great and so friendly sketch at Scrap 'n Stamp (a Canadian online store).

I hope you like my card Joni (and everyone else). Wishing you a year of happiness, prosperity, love and friendship! {{ HUGS }}

Decorate Your Mantel

Good Morning!

Another late post but only because I'm a ditz! I didn't have it in my head that today was the day Joni was going to announce another challenge. Or maybe because this was such a challenge for me.

Head on over to Inktegrity to get all the details and score a freebie image that you'll need to get in on this challenge. But the basics are: decorate your Mantel. Joni has created the most adorable mantel for the holidays. And I've seen some new images that are coming soon that will be cute on this mantel, too. But for now, here is my card...

I colored the image with Copics and Prismacolor Markers and then had a blast with my stickles (so this fits Cute Card Thursday's challenge to use glitter) to decorate the trees and the candles. I punched out the holly leaves and berries to create the garland. I had to free-hand the bows because I couldn't find any thin red ribbon. Me! Can you believe it?! The stash of ribbon that I have and no thin red ribbon. Ack! I did use a Gingerbread couple from The Daisie Company and I still didn't get them small enough. But any smaller and I would've gone blind. I also created bricks to go under the mantel, too. The greeting is computer generated.

Well, I hope you like my card and that you'll try Joni's challenge this week! I look forward to seeing how you decorate the mantel.

Baby it's cold outside...

** This is my second post for today, please scroll down for Tuesday Morning Sketches. **

Have I ever told you that I am such a sucker for snowmen? Well, I am! Winter and I get along only so-so. I don't like being cold, but I love the snow covered Rocky Mountains. I love the powdery snow that glistens like diamonds when the sun is shining, not great snow for building a snowman, but beautiful to look at! But I don't like ice! That's what we get a lot of out here in WV, ice - not much snow. But there's nothing more heartwarming than a snowman built by children's hands with such love and detail.

I love this snowman from Inktegrity. It's part of the Little Helper set that released last week. I just had to play along with a couple of great challenges... First challenge was the sketch from JUGs - great fun! The second challenge is from Digital Tuesday which is to create a holiday greetings card and what better way to greet the holidays then to start singing a favorite Christmas song of my Mom's. The snowflakes I found when googling coloring pages.

I hope you like my card - thanks for the second visit.

Friday Feature

Good Morning! I am getting a bit nervous for my interview this afternoon. Guess I better craft all morning long to distract me. LOL

I have to tell you what I saw the other day. I found my daughter sitting at her dad's computer perusing You Tube videos. She also had her little sketch book out and a pencil. She would watch for a bit, pause, draw and then watch a bit more. This cycle continued for about 30 minutes. After dinner she went down to our craft room and was busy working away. So you know what this means? I have a Hollyanne Friday Feature for you!

I am thinking that she got this sketch from one of Dawn Griffith's videos, but I am not certain. She used a stamp set that, frankly, I had forgotten I owned. It's Shapes & Stitches by Lizzie Ann. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. She made a very nice CAS card.

I have a Thanksgiving themed card to share, too. I made this using one of the accesories in the new set just released called Little Helper. You can find it and all of the other wonderful images Inktegrity has to offer here. I did use the sketch from Twisted Thursdays - the month of November they will be featuring challenges for Holiday stamps so this week they are focusing on scarecrows, pilgrims and turkeys. The twist is to either use Kraft card stock or a brown paper sack. Here is my take on the challenge....

I created the sentiment on the computer.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a super weekend!!

God's Promises

Good Morning! Hope your week is off to a great start! I had such productive day yesterday, I am very pleased with myself.

I shared a couple of weeks ago that I have been given the honor of being November Guest Designer for Inktegrity. I thank Joni from the bottom of my heart for giving me this gift. Did you do the hop on Sunday? If you did then you met Bizzy. Today is the release day for Bizzy and his accessories. The hop was so much fun and he is such a happy guy. Well after a hard day's work that he put in he's ready for bed...

This is Bizzy Praying. He releases today, too. The sentiment is one of God's many promises... When I pray, you answer me! You encourage me by giving me the strength I need. Psalm 138:3 --I would say that after the day Bizzy had on Sunday, his strength needs to be renewed and who better than to get that renewal from?

The card turned out to be clean and simple, which I don't think was my original intent but I am happy with the results. I used paper from a Bazzil card stock pack that I rarely pull out and I'm not sure why - it does contain some really cool colors. I did participate in a couple of challenges with this card: I used Mojo Monday's sketch and the color challenge from The Pink Elephant. The colors are brown, yellow, neutral and one other color. The base of my card is sort of a bittersweet dark chocolate color. The other colors I chose are gray, yellow and dark green. I colored Bizzy with Copics.

I hope you like my card. Thanks for visiting me today.
