Spotlight for Sweet n Sassy Digis!!!

Good Morning! I want you to know that I am literally jumping up and down and squealing about this post. I received an email from my friend Sandy who is a well respected DT Member of Sweet n Sassy Stamps. She's currently designing for the SNSS Digi blog and she's a very talented stamper. What I love most about Sandy and Korin (owner of SNSS) and everyone they surround themselves with is how they share their love for God and their faith in Him. They continually encourage me.

I received an email last week from Sandy telling me about a new feature they want to add to the blog - and that was to put the spotlight on their customers and she said she immediately thought of me. What a blessing and an honor! So I set to work.

Sandy sent me a couple of images to work with. So the first card I created is a Valentine's card. This is using their new Lovebirds digi-stamp. They are just the sweetest couple ever and the heart wreath is beautiful with it's delicate roses. I used these beautiful papers from SEI's Chocolat paper stack - I was able to pick this up at Michaels for 50% off. I colored it with Copics, did a little paper piercing and then finished it off with sateen flowers with tiny heart shaped brads for the centers.

This next card was a lot of fun. I recycled a sketch from a previous sketch challenge from The Sweet Stop challenge blog. I love how black card stock makes everything pop with Bashful Blue. It's so striking. Again I colored the image with Copics and the decorative paper is from 12 days of Snowflakes digi paper available at My Time Made Easy.

Now originally Sandy asked me to make a couple of cards, but I asked her if I could do a third so I could use Be Mine Cocoa. I told her that if this is my one chance to design for SNSS, I was grabbing the reins with both hands! LOL So, while I was visiting the My Time Made Easy site, I found this template for an adorable box that I just had to try.

Here's the front of it, which is loosely laid out to last week's Sweet Stop sketch. I also used a sentiment from the Valentine Sentiments set. The paper on the outside is also from the SEI Chocolat collection. And of course, I used my favorite color combo of pink and brown.

What I discovered was that this box is the perfect size for a box of Whitman's Sampler chocolates. Now the paper from SEI is one sided paper so I wanted a design on the inside. I cut the paper down to 8 1/2 x 11 and then printed on the white side digi-paper from GinaK Designs, Neapolitan. Then I ran it back through my printer to print the template. (Tip: If you don't have SCAL software, you can get this template in a printable version. When you print it, set your printer to Fast Draft. It will print in very light ink. You save ink and you don't have dark lines on your project.)

Thank you to Sandy for giving me this opportunity. Thank you to you for stopping by and sharing it with me!

Melissa, those cards and the box are absolutely gorgeous. I tend to go with the 'clean & simple' so I love a bit of white space. Gives such nice contrast and really makes the coloring and the images pop. Love it!
