Sweet Sketch Wednesday #35

Good Morning! I hope you're having a sweet week so far. Arlana has another great sketch to share this week and we have another fabulous sponsor. This week, we have Tracey from The Stamping Boutique joining us. She has some really wonderful images, too!!

So here's the sketch we're working with:

This was a little challenging for me, but then I saw what the other girls on the team did with it and I have to say that every time I looked at one I had to slap myself in the forehead. Why hadn't I thought of that...! Gave myself a headache with all that slapping! But this is what I came up with:

I am totally in love with is butterfly image. I think it's so beautiful. So I used an embossing border from Cuttlebug to created the vertical lines and then just some simple strips of card stock for the horizontal lines. The image is colored with Copics and then just a touch of stickles.

Here's a photo of dimension I added to this card. I accomplished this by printing the image twice and cut out what I wanted popped up.

OK - so head on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday so you'll know how to play along and leave the girls some love, they do amazing work to share with you each week.

Melissa, your card is so adorable. I love the embossing in the back and the white - so clean and crisp. The butterfly is my favorite - so perfectly colored and stickled. I love that you popped it up...it's ready to take flight! You're so very creative!

Melissa, It certainly doesn't look like you had a hard time with this one. It is beautiful. I love the butterfly and how you pop it and the flower. Your colors are fantastic...so light and airy. I also like how you used the embossing for your vertical strips. Way to go for thinking outside the box!
