Thursdays with Lindsay

Good Morning!!  Today is a day to celebrate.  Lindsay and the team are having an online baby shower for one of our fellow members, Tamara Bennett!  Now at the time of this writing, Tamara has not had her baby yet.  If that little boy doesn't grace us with his presence very soon, Tamara will be induced tonight!  So we're having this little baby shin-dig in the knick of time.

Here's the card I sent to Tamara...

I really struggle with baby cards.  They definitely seem not to be my forte.  But I finally came up with one that is presentable.  With the help of the sketch I found on Everybody Art Challenge this card came together.  This was a really great sketch to work with.  I used a lot of mixed media with this card, too.  The onesie is from Lindsay's set On The Line.  I altered it all little by erasing the clothespins in my photo editing software and then drawing lines to complete the shoulders.  I printed a swatch of digi paper that I got from A Cherry On Top and then printed the onesie over it.  This makes for super easy paper piecing.  This digi paper pack also came with banners that before I printed I added little text boxes over the flags to create a sentiment.  Then using traditional stamps I created my own decorative paper.

Supplies:
Card stock:  Neenah Classic Crest, white card stock (JoAnns), Bashful Blue, Barely Banana (SU!)
Paper:  Digi Paper (ACOT)
Stamps/Ink:  Limitless Labels (PTI), Barely Banana, Bashful Blue (SU!)
Tools:  Circle cutters (CM), Cuttlebug, Scallop circle nesties (Spellbinder), Spots & Dots embossing folder
Embellishments:  tiny white brads (Queen & Co.), Buttons ($1 bin at Michaels)

I hope Tamara likes the card I made for her and I wish her all the best for labor and delivery and I pray for her baby boy to be healthy.  Thank you so much for stopping by.  Be sure to visit Lindsay and the rest of the team as we celebrate the miracle of life!
