Thursdays with Lindsay

Good Morning!  Happy Thursday to you all.  This is another sad post for me to make.  Today is final posting for Lindsay's Stamp Stuff.  I have been on this design team for a year or so and I have enjoyed every minute of it.  But the time has come for me to step down.  I am very thankful to Lindsay for inviting me to be a part of her team and to design among some really awesome designers.

So for my last card, it was only fitting for me to use an image that I asked Lindsay to design.  It is featured in the Winged Things digi stamp set.  This is one of my favorite sets and I really love dragonflies.  The other day I had noticed outside my porch there were about 75 dragonflies flying around - it was a gorgeous sight!

I decided to go with the simple elegance of a black and white card with only a touch of color in the wings.  I added the sentiment just underneath the image before I printed.  I used the card sketch from Papertake Weekly but instead of one single horizonal element that went behind the focal image, I added two vertical ones using stitching templates that I won.  They were really easy to use, you just place the template where you want the stitching to be, poke holes according to the pattern and then using an easy back-stitch you complete the design.

Now when I saw all those dragonflies dancing around, the sun would catch their wings just so that they sparkled so I needed to add some sparkle, too.

So here's a close up of the dragonfly to show you all the pretty sparkle I added with Diamond glaze and Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

Supplies:
Card stock:  Neenah Classic Crest, Black, Gray (Recollections)
Paper:  Me & My Big Ideas
Copics:  B60, C8, C10
Markers:  Clear, Turquioise, Lipstick (Spica), Yellow-Green (Twinklette)
Tools:  InStitchz (Bazzil), white embroidery floss, Diamond Glaze (Judikins)
Embellishments:  Dazzling Diamonds (SU)

I hope that you enjoy my card.  Be sure to stop by Lindsay's blog, she's always got something cool to offer her readers and of course, the design team who are sure to inspire you!  It's been a pleasure to be a part of this team - thank you Lindsay!

Thursdays with Lindsay

Good Morning!  I hope your week is going well so far.  Since the first days of Fall are upon us (except for those of us in Florida) I made a card showcasing some wonderful images from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff that were released last year.  I used Leaf Prints and Leaf Prints Add-On (freebie) to create my really easy Fall card.  I also called upon the help from a very great sketch by Mercy Kerin.

The Leaf Prints Add-On freebie, printed as is, is a great card base.  Just print, cut and fold.  What could be easier?!  However, I cropped it from the card and sized it to create a mat.  Then I printed up one of pretty leaves from the Leaf Print digi set after my son and I colored it digitally.  Oh and get this!  I even created my own large scallop border using a digital image, SCAL and my Cricut!  I am learning so much about what SCAL can do.  Yay me!  LOL

Supplies:
Card stock:  Neenah Milled Ivory, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Dusty Durango
Tools:  CM Oval cutters, Cricut/SCAL, SVG by me
Embellishments:  button (my stash), Olive satin ribbon (Offray), Prima leaves, linen thread (SU)

Now in honor of the changing season, everything at MyGrafico is on sale - 40% off!!  What better time to stock up on your favorite Lindsay's Stamp Stuff images.  She's introduced two new sets that you're definitely going to want in your collection.

This card is so easy.  Once I got the SVG figured out, it literally only took minutes to put together.  I hope this inspires you to pull out your easy tools and create quick cards to share with your friends and family.  Now go shopping!

Thursdays with Lindsay

Good Morning!  I have a couple of things to share with you today using Lindsay's Stamps Stuff designs.  Everything is on sale at Lindsay's MyGrafico shop - 30% OFF!!  Wow!!  But before you head over there to shop, let me try to inspire you...

OK - this first card I made is the first of a series of cards that I plan on sharing that I call "1 Postage Stamp, Please."  Meaning, no bumpies that will require an additional 20 cents for hand canceling.  I used the sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch who is also sponsoring Operation Write Home.  The challenge is to use the sketch and create a birthday card.  I plan on sending this one along with several other cards I am creating.  I hope you join in and if you do - please please please remember to not use glitter on your cards that are sent to the soldiers.

Supplies:
Card stock:  Neenah Classic Crest, Blue (Recollections)
Paper:  Sweet Stitches digi paper (LSS)
Images:  Sweet Treats 2, Coffee Talk (LSS)
Copics:  BG01, BG05, BG09, E53, W-3, Y06, Y11, YR16
Tools:  1 1/2" square punch (CM), scallop edge punch (SU)

This next project I made to go along with the blog candy that I posted that's being given away by Paul Ford.  I had never seen his work before which is odd since he's on the design team for Bugaboo which is one of my favorite digi stamp companies.  Anyway, he has a really fun and easy tutorial posted for a door hanger treat.

So I pulled out my flash drive and printed up some of Lindsay's Halloween images and tried the tutorial.  It was so easy and I had a blast putting it together.  Of course, the kids still haven't found the 100 Grand mini candy bars I have hidden in plain sight, so that made it easy to test this out and get a picture.  I thought this would be nice to make for a few favorite teachers for Halloween.

Supplies:
Card stock:  Lavendar Lace (SU), Black & Gray (Recollections)
Images:  Creepy Crow digital stamp set (LSS)
Paper:  Halloween prints (Michaels)
Tools:  oval punch (SU), Labels 1 (Spellbinders), Circle cutters (CM)
Embellishments:  100 Grand mini candy bar (Nestles)

I hope you enjoyed my projects today.  Head on over to Lindsay's blog to see what she might have in store for you and as always, the team's blog links are in my sidebar.  Thanks for stopping by!

Thursdays with Lindsay

Good Morning!  I hope your week is going well.  My kids are home today so it's nice to be able to hang out with them.

The card I have to share with you today is really a stretch for me.  Unlike my fellow DT member, Tracy Vinson who does Vintage in an absolutely amazing way, I find it very difficult.  But with the help of The Sweet Stop sketch and a great image from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff, it went together pretty well.

I used the Carousel Horse set which is gorgeous!  I was a little intimidated by it, but I thought I would just grab the bull by the horns and give it a try.  I think it's pretty.  What do you think?

I printed the image 3 times.  The first one I used for the base and inked its edges to make it look old.  The second was to emboss the pole with gold embossing powder.  I cut them out then adhered to the base image.  Then the 3rd image I embossed gold on the blanket, colored it and the saddle and added a touch of color to the mane and tail.  Then again, cut it out and adhered it to the base.  This allowed me to keep the horse a brighter color against the background.

Supplies:
Card stock:  Cream (Recollections), Chocolate Chip, Blush Blossom, Creamy Caramel (SU)
Copics:  C8, E34, E37, E53, R00, R11
Tools:  Versamark embossing pen, Medium Gold embossing powder, heat gun, Cuttlebug, Script embossing folder
Stamps/Ink:  Poppies (SNSS), Rich Cocoa (Memento)
Embellishments:  gold organdy (Offray)

I hope that you enjoy my card and that perhaps I've encouraged you to try something that you've been a little apprehensive to do.  Happy Thursday to you... I'm off to hang out with my kiddos.

Thursdays with Lindsay

Good Morning!!  Today is a day to celebrate.  Lindsay and the team are having an online baby shower for one of our fellow members, Tamara Bennett!  Now at the time of this writing, Tamara has not had her baby yet.  If that little boy doesn't grace us with his presence very soon, Tamara will be induced tonight!  So we're having this little baby shin-dig in the knick of time.

Here's the card I sent to Tamara...

I really struggle with baby cards.  They definitely seem not to be my forte.  But I finally came up with one that is presentable.  With the help of the sketch I found on Everybody Art Challenge this card came together.  This was a really great sketch to work with.  I used a lot of mixed media with this card, too.  The onesie is from Lindsay's set On The Line.  I altered it all little by erasing the clothespins in my photo editing software and then drawing lines to complete the shoulders.  I printed a swatch of digi paper that I got from A Cherry On Top and then printed the onesie over it.  This makes for super easy paper piecing.  This digi paper pack also came with banners that before I printed I added little text boxes over the flags to create a sentiment.  Then using traditional stamps I created my own decorative paper.

Supplies:
Card stock:  Neenah Classic Crest, white card stock (JoAnns), Bashful Blue, Barely Banana (SU!)
Paper:  Digi Paper (ACOT)
Stamps/Ink:  Limitless Labels (PTI), Barely Banana, Bashful Blue (SU!)
Tools:  Circle cutters (CM), Cuttlebug, Scallop circle nesties (Spellbinder), Spots & Dots embossing folder
Embellishments:  tiny white brads (Queen & Co.), Buttons ($1 bin at Michaels)

I hope Tamara likes the card I made for her and I wish her all the best for labor and delivery and I pray for her baby boy to be healthy.  Thank you so much for stopping by.  Be sure to visit Lindsay and the rest of the team as we celebrate the miracle of life!

Thursdays with Lindsay

Good Morning!  We're on the downhill slide of this week.  I have a really fun card to share with you today.  Warning:  This card is for adults 21 and over.  LOL

Lindsay's Stamp Stuff introduced a new set last week called Vintage Halloween Label stamps and it's awesome!!  And since we're nearing September, Halloween isn't too far away.  It's time to start thinking of tricks and treats and parties.  Now I am not into the scary stuff that Halloween can bring, so when I chose this image to work with, I thought of the Wicked Witch of the West from Wizard of Oz.  And on a more ecclectic note, more like Elphaba from the book Wicked.  What an interesting take in this novel of a childhood favorite.  Anyway, here's the card...

I created a gatefold card and decorated the side panels with some fun paper that I had only a few scraps left.  You might remember almost a year ago I created a frame for the kids' Halloween pictures for my Mom using this same paper and Lindsay's Stamp Stuff images.  If not, you can find it here.

Here's a close up of the image.  It took some playing around with it before I actually got it sized nearly right to use my Labels nestabilities with this image.  I sized it to 2.80" and it worked pretty well.  The image is so great that it needed very little color.  But I thought of the scene where Dorothy was locked in the witch's castle and her crystral ball filled with smoke.  So with my very old chalks I colored the ball to look like the swirling smoke.

Supplies:
Card stock:  Neenah Classic Crest, Old Olive, Black (Recollections)
Paper:  Halloween paper (??) (Michaels)
Copics:  YG03
Tools:  Chalks (SU), Scor-Pal, Cuttlebug, Labels Nestabilities
Embellishments:  brads (SU)

And here's the 21 and over part...

I found this fun martini recipe on a website called Drink of the Week.  Now I'm not a big drinker by any means, but I enjoy a fun martini or yummy margarita every once in awhile.  My thought was this would be fun at a party to give as favors to guests.  Of course you could switch it out for a non-alcoholic punch that is kid friendly.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and that I inspired you to look at your regular A2 sized cards a little differently.  Head on over to Lindsay's blog to see what sort of tips and treats she has for you.  Then it's time to shop because everything in Lindsay's Stamp Stuff store is on sale - 40% off!!  But you have to hurry, this sale ends tonight at midnight.  Thank you for stopping by!

Thursdays with Lindsay

Good Morning everyone!  Just a quick post here, I've got to get the kids and myself moving.  Brendan's school orientation is this morning.

I found sketch that I really liked, so that's what I chose as my foundation for this week's card.  It's from a challenge blog called The Wild Flower Patch and it's a super sketch!  I did tweak it a little to fit my images.  What do you think?

I used the an image from the Birds and Branches set and created my own sentiment.  I used the great border punch my sister sent me, but I haven't used my Studio in a Box yet.  I still need to read the directions and figure out where I'll put it.

Supplies:
Card stock:  Neenah Milled Ivory, Chocolate Chip, More Mustard
Paper:  Recollections
Copics:  E33, E37, YR16, YR23, YR20
Tools:  1 1/4, 1 3/8 circle punchs, Arch Lattice border punch (Martha Stewart)

I hope you like the card.  Head on over to Lindsay's blog to see what she has in store for you!  Have a super day!

Thursdays with Lindsay

Good Morning!  I hope your week is going well.  Mine is looking pretty good so far.

A couple of weeks ago Lindsay's Stamp Stuff sponsored Tuesday Morning Sketches and I made a card with the great daffodils in a jar image.  But truth be told, I hated that card!  I was not happy with it at all, so I threw it away.  I had completely forgotten that it was part of TMS and a potential selection for the winner of the weekly card give away.  And, of course, because I threw it away it was selected by the winner.  I had to laugh!  So I told the winner what I did and that I'd make her a new card - this is what I came up with...

I like this so much more!  I followed the directions how to create this lattice embossing on the Scor-Pal website.  I decided that since I have this Scor-Pal, I need to discover what all it can do.  I wanted to keep this card pretty simple but give it an elegant quality.  I am pleased with the results.

Supplies:
Card Stock:  Neenah Classic Crest, Bazzil Basics
Copics:  B000, Y11, Y15, Y17, YG03, YG63
Tools:  Scor-Pal, CM oval cutter, white gel pen
Embellishments:  Pearls (Recollections)

And speaking of winners, a couple of weeks ago I won the Just Magnolia challenge and I received my prize yesterday.  I swear my squeal of excitement was heard back in WV.  Check this out...

Fun right!  I cannot wait to play with this stuff!!

Be sure to head on over to Lindsay's blog for some great inspiration and she always has a freebie!  Have a super day and thanks for stopping by!

Thursdays with Lindsay

Good Morning!  I had tried to get my card done last night, but my printer wasn't cooperating so I'm a little later than usual with my post.  But I am still pleased with the results.  I used the sketch from Mojo Monday and the challenge over at Digital Tuesday was to add some glitter.  Well, no dragonfly, in my book, have have glitterless wings.  LOL!  He's part of the Doodle Flowers set and so is the sentiment.  It's an awesome set!

What do you think?  I love the contrast between the black and baby blue and then having it all grounded by a Kraft base.

In this photo you can see the glitter.  I had a little accident with the Stickles bottle this morning.  It got clogged so as I was working to get cleared, I pressed a little too hard and a big clump came out!  So there's a bit of glitter on his body that wasn't meant to be there.

Supplies:
Card stock:  Neenah Classic Crest, Kraft, black
Paper:  Digi paper (unknown artist)
Copics:  B000, C8, C10
Tools:  Scallop square (Nestabilities), Apron Lace border punch (Fiskars), white gel pen
Embellishments:  black stitched ribbon (Michaels), Diamond Stickles (Ranger)

I hope you like this card.  Now head on over to Lindsay's blog - she's always got a freebie to share along with some awesome ideas!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 1st Birthday! Week 3

Good Morning!  I do hope your week if off to a great start!  It's Tuesday and the 3rd week of Tuesday Morning Sketches birthday celebration.  I am having a lot of with this.  I've really enjoyed seeing some of my old sketches being refreshed this month.

This week's sponsor is Lindsay from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff - Lindsay was one of the first sponsors of TMS when I first began the challenge blog.  So this week is still to chose your favorite past sketch, but I've added a theme:  WHAT REMINDS YOU OF SUMMER.

I love flowers.  A funny statement from me since I grew up in a flower shop and hated them!  But I've matured since then.  Anyway, I can't say that I have a favorite flower - but I do love daffodils.  Their color is so vibrant and just screams summer to me.  I also participated in The Pink Elephant's challenge which was to use brown.

Supplies:
Digi-Image:  Fancy Flowers (LSS)
Stamps/Ink:  Mini-Messages (PTI), Rich Cocoa (Memento)
Card Stock:  Neenah Milled Ivory, Chocolate Chip
Paper:  Spring Flowers (SU!)
Copics:  B000, Y11, Y15, Y17, YG63
Tools:  1" and 1 3/8" circle punches, CM oval cutter
Embellishments:  Ribbon (Offray)

I hope you like my card - I'm not very happy with the photo.  I also hope you join us over at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

Thursdays with Lindsay

Good Afternoon!  I am so sorry that I am late with my post.  Yesterday was a very busy day for me, certainly not how I expected it to turn out - but all in all it was good except that I didn't get any cardmaking done.

But I am finally here with my Thursday's with Lindsay edition.

Oops, I shouldn't have shot this photo straight on.  You can't tell that it's a recessed card.  I followed the tutorial found on Splitcoast Stampers.  Anyway, fun card to make - it just takes a little patience.

Images:  Strawberries & Watermelon (Lindsay's Stamp Stuff)
Card Stock:  Neenah Milled Ivory, Real Red
Paper:  Uptown Houndstooth black (Lindsay's Stamp Stuff)

I used the new Sweet Treats 2 and Lovely Tickets sets to create this card.  I used sketch inspiration from Mojo Monday, but I think it's still rather plain.

Thursdays with Lindsay

Good Morning!  I am totally loving this week - it's a week of  "I'm back" posts.  LOL!  Well, today's edition is "I'm back with Thursdays with Lindsay."

For my monthly card traders group, the challenge was to create a purse card.  I was going to post the link where this pattern was found, but when I clicked on the link, the photo had been removed.  But I had gone a step further and asked very sweet Penny Duncan to turn this pattern into an SVG file for me so that I can make this task just a bit easier.  She was very nice and did.

Here's the front of the purse card.  I was thrilled to finally be able to use these gorgeous Prima flowers I had picked up weeks ago!  And I know what you're thinking - this isn't exactly Lindsay's Stamp Stuff stuff.  Well, take a look inside this purse...

This stunning purse is lined with Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Uptown Houndstooth Cranberry fabric, ahem, paper.  The sentiment panel was created with my own sentiment and then decorated with Pretty Border.  This card would create a perfect gift card holder.

Supplies:
Card Stock:  Neenah Classic Crest, Real Red
Paper:  Uptown Houndstooth (LSS)
Copics:  R27, R29, Y15, YG95
Embellishments:  Prima flowers, Rub-On (American Crafts), Pearl (Wilton), White Organdy
Tools:  White Gel Pen, SCAL/Cricut

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do.  I think it's lovely and a special thanks to Penny for helping me make this card easier.  Be sure to stop by Lindsay's blog for this week's freebie and inspiration.  And then hop along to the design team's blogs for even more inspiration and eye candy!  You're in for a treat as Tracy Vinson joins the team this week.  Thanks for stopping by!

Oh!  One more thing - be sure to stop by Deedee's Digis CDAC group throughout the day.  We're having a Luau and you're invited.

Thursdays with Lindsay

Good Morning!  I think I've finally recovered from my trip - but that's only enough to take on the rest of what I have to do.  This afternoon I am headed over to Levi's school to chaperone Field Day.  More like take pictures.  Heehee.  The on Friday I am helping with the Farewell Fifth Graders party.  Levi is very busy this week!

Well, today's Thursdays with Lindsay card isn't really participating in any challenge except for my montly card traders group.  The challenge was to create a pinwheel card.  I guess I couldn't stop at just the pinwheel.  It seemed to be lacking something for me, so I used it as a background....

The pinwheel technique was rather easy.  The video tutorial I looked at (and for the life of me, can't find it again) started with 2 5/8" bases and 1 1/4" squares.  I used just a little bit bigger.  Then for the center of my pinwheel, I used an image from the new Seaside Sketches set.

Here's the detail... I made a matching envelope!  Alright, I have a confession to make.  Lindsay has the most amazing envelope SVG files and I can't figure out how to use them!  I have no idea what to resize them to in order to create an envelope.  Sad, huh?!  But I did manage to make one just by folding it.  It still didn't come out how I wanted it - not a true square envelope, but it works.

Supplies:
Card Stock:  Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Black
Paper:  Digi Paper from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff - Uptown Houndstooth black and Seaside Paper
Copics:  B95, E37, E53, E57, W-3
Sentiment:  Poppies & Greetings (Sweet n Sassy)
Ink:  Distress Ink - Broken China
Tools:  CM Circle cutters, circle punches

Today will be my last post for Lindsay's Stamp Stuff for the month of June.  I've requested a leave of absence so I can focus on getting ready for the move.  I'll still be around some, but my posts will be less frequent for awhile.  Tuesday Morning Sketches and Sweet Sketch Wednesday will still be posted weekly.

Thanks for stopping by!  I do appreciate your visits.

Thursdays with Lindsay

Good Morning!  Are you enjoying my fun week of orange?  I sure hope so.  I never knew just how much fun this color could be.  OK so continuing with the theme of the week, I had to have Lindsay's Stamp Stuff play along.  Here's what I did...

First of all, let me say that I think I need to be on a Thorazine drip for taking on this card in the manner in which I did.  Do you see that flower?  It took me an hour to do all that cut work!  Crazy!!  Several years ago I attended a crop.  At this crop there was a young couple there, it was really cool to see a husband and wife tag-teaming the scrapbooking while taking care of their baby.  This man amazed me.  Not that he was into scrapbooking WITH his wife, but the wonderful things he created with his X-Acto knife!  That man could do precision cut work with his craft knife that would compete with any laser cut piece I've ever seen.  I thought he was nuts!  But did admire his work.  I can't do near what he could, but I am pleased with how this turned out.

I did use the sketch from Sketches by Tamara.  Great sketch!  Where I put the flower is supposed to be a sentiment, so I'm not sure if this will qualify for her challenge, but it was fun anyway.  Edit:  I missed the challenge on that sketch anyway!  I keep forgetting to look at my dates!!  And thanks to a friend to point me into another direction for a different challenge, I submit this to My Time to Craft Challenge.

Supplies:
Card Stock:  Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Black
Paper:  Basic Grey Ambrosia (Mandarin), Uptown Houndstooth (LSS)
Image:  Doodle Flowers (tulip)
Copics:  100, Y17, YG03, YG67, YR16, YR68
Tools:  Craft knife, Magic Matter, eyelet setter, Coluzzle circle cutter
Embellishments:  Eyelets

I do hope you like my card.  Lindsay released a brand new set call Seaside Sketches and it's beautiful.  Be sure to head on over to Lindsay's blog to see what she has in store for you and I know the team has some great stuff to share with you, too.  Thanks for stopping by!  And be sure to come back to my blog later on today for Soft Pencil's Anniversary blog hop.

Thursdays with Lindsay

Good Morning!  I have a couple of cards to share with you today that I have to say were tedious and time consuming and I loved every minute of it!  For the first one, I enjoy puzzles, so this was a challenging puzzle.  Let me show it to you...

Over at my monthly card traders group, the challenge was to create a card using the brick wall technique.  You can find the tutorial over on SCS.  As I said, this is a bit tedious and time consuming, but if you enjoy puzzles, then you must give this a try!

I used the beautiful Iris image from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff and some digi paper that I found somewhere - probably A Cherry on Top.  I also used the sketch from The Pink Elephant having been inspired by my daughter giving it whirl Monday night.

This next card I made to play along with the Digital Tuesday challenge which is to have vellum on your card.  You all know that I am getting ready for a move, so I've been cleaning out stuff.  I literally took this vellum out of the trash (good thing I don't allow food/drink items to go into my craft room trash can).  I threw it away thinking to myself that I am not ever going to use these scraps, so why keep them.  Well, this is why we papercrafters are hoarders.

I pulled out the recently discovered paper piercing patterns and set to work.  This is actually a one layer element, but I cut it apart after doing all the piercing.  I also used a white gel pen to trace the scallops.  I like how I achieved a Pergamano look without all the work of the nibs and ink.  Again I used the beautiful Iris image.  Here's a close up of the focal image....

Supplies:
Card Stock:  Neenah Milled Ivory, Black, Perfect Plum
Paper:  Digi paper by CHaskell, Vellum (SU)
Pattern:  Madjara
Copics:  BV00, BV02, BV04, YG63, YG67
Ink:  Perfect Plum
Tools:  Piercer/Mat, SCAL/Cricut, white gel pen
Embellishments:  Bling by Recollections

I hope you enjoy my cards.  If you try these techniques, let me know.  I'd love to see what you did with them.  Now head on over to Lindsay's blog to see what she has in store for you.  Also, visit the rest of the team and leave them some love.  Lindsay has a wonderfully talented design team and they are sure to inspire you.

Thursdays with Lindsay

Good Morning!  You know, there is nothing better to me than a really good cup of coffee in the morning.  I enjoy it when it's steaming hot and it's cool outside.  I finally got my Cricut Expression and I've been playing with it a bit.  Not has much as I'd hoped, but some and I've learned something.  I've learned that I have a lot to learn about it.  But I am rather excited about it because I now have a bigger canvas to use all the great SVG files that are available the require a bigger canvas.

Back around Christmas time, Lindsay released an SVG file for a Christmas Cookie box and I couldn't cut it with the the baby bug, so all I could do was simply admire it.  I finally got to play with it!  It's not Christmas time, but the box itself is so versatile.

I used this box to give the gift of coffee.  I cut the bag out and then traced the top scalloped part onto some white card stock and then adhered it off-set a bit.  I then used the Embossed Mats scallop circle that came with the set and I used All-Around Phrases (Add On) for the sentiment.  I printed out my favorite image from the Coffee Talk set and centered that with pop-dots.  I've decided I need a coffee mug that is lime green with pink polka dots!  I finished it off with coffee beans in a cello bag and tied it up with ribbon.

Supplies:
Card Stock:  Neenah Classic Crest Solar White
Paper:  All That Scraps (unsure of the maker)
Copics:  RV10, RV13, W-3, YG00, YG03
Tools:  CM Circle Cutters, SCAL/Cricut

I hope my easy gift will inspire you to try out the amazing SVG files that Lindsay has available as well as her wonderful images.  Now be sure to visit Lindsay and the rest of the team.  Thank you for stopping by!

Thursdays with Lindsay

Good Morning,

Just a quick post here - it's actually Thursday night as I am writing this and it's past my bedtime.  I like working 6am to 2pm, but getting up at 4:30 is really tough!

I am sad, my Cricut Expression still hasn't arrived and I did hope it would be here in time for this posting because I wanted to play with BIGGER SVG files!  Oh well, it'll get here and then I can play over the weekend!  So for this card, I made a Mother's Day card using the sketch from Just Us Girls.  They are having a DT call and I'd love to apply, but....

Thursdays with Lindsay

Good Morning!  I'm finally here to post today's entry.  Last night was a very busy night for me so I didn't get my card done until late and I was too tired to set up the blog post.

This week's card is using the new set by Lindsay called Crafty Tools & Puns set and I did this card with my sister in mind.  She just recently took up knitting so this was perfect for her!

I love the sentiment!  This is mine... sort of.  I found a quote on Quote Garden that says If I stitch fast enough, does it count as aerobic exercise?  The author is unknown.  So I changed the word to knit and used a font called Rita that if you look up close, the letters look fuzzy like yarn.  I followed a sketch from Sketch Girl challenge blog.  This was a really easy sketch which helped get this card together relatively quickly.

Supplies:
Card Stock:  Neenah Classic Crest Solar White
Paper:  We R Memory Keepers - Hubcaps
Copics:  B95, B97, E29, E57, G02, W-3, YR16
Prismacolor:  Cream, Carmine Red
Tools:  SU! corner rounder, 5/8", 3/4" & 7/8" circle punches

Please be sure to visit Lindsay for this week's freebie and then hop along to visit all the members of the Design Team - they have awesome projects to share with you!  Thank you stopping by!

Thursdays with Lindsay - Anniversary Blog Hop!

Good Morning!  Happy tax day!  OK - I'm not real thrilled about it either, but...  Let's talk about something really exciting.  Today is the 3rd day of Lindsay's Stamp Stuff 3 day Anniversary blog hop.  There's been a crop going on in the MyGrafico Virtual Crop Room.  There's been prizes.  And everything is 50% off at Lindsay's MyGrafico shop. If you came here from Rhonda's blog (fabulous project, eh?!) then you're on the right track.  If not, start at Lindsay's blog here.

I shared this snippet the other day in the Crop Room, so I hope it brought some people over here to see what I did.  Here's what I did...

I kept the card clean and simple because, well, simply put - the focal image was hard enough!  I went out to my backyard and found some really cool twigs.  I then cut them down to create a frame around the image.  I used an image from the Birds and Branches set.  I then glued the twigs down but then to secure them I used twine and a needle to tie them to the card stock.  I'm not pleased with this photo because it makes the ribbon look black, it's actually a rich chocolate brown.  This card also fits the challenge over at KL Stampin' n Scrappin' blog.

I have a give away, too.  One lucky commenter on my blog today will receive the entire Birds and Branches set just by leaving me a comment.  You don't have to become a follower if you don't want to.

Now on to your next stop on the blog hop which is Cassandra.  Have fun on the hop and have fun shopping!
